    It could be 1 of 2 reasons.

    1. You're not putting [IMG] [/IMG] at the beginning and end of the link.

    2. You're linking to the site, not the image. Right click the image and click copy image url.

    It's likely you're doing the second one :p

    Right click the image and "open image in a new tab" if there's other crap on the screen, this is the "direct link", which goes in between the image tags.

    You can use the image BBcode button: [​IMG] and just put the direct link in the box which appears.
