I'm sure you've heard this 1000 times, but...

I bought 12k wow gold a few days ago, and I'm probably going to buy another 13k tonight. I was just wondering how often you see people getting banned for buying relatively small amounts of gold? I'm sorry for asking this question, which is answered everywhere on google, but it seems they're all old replies, or replies from goldsellers themselves trying to advertise their website. If anyone can give me some honest information, that would be appreciated!

I realize I'm going to be putting my account at risk doing this, and there's always the chance I'll get banned/suspended, I'd just like to know how often YOU see it happen to people who buy gold etc.

Also, I hear there is a lower chance of people being banned if they buy gold which has been earnt legit, and not from hacked accounts etc, do the gold sellers on sythe generally sell gold which is legit? Or not?

Yeah I think so too, in the last 3 days I've probably bought 70k... Nothing happened yet. My friend bought 100k 3 days ago too, straight up, nothing. Any other stories guys?

I've heard a lot of stories about people getting banned, my ex played WoW all the time and said 80% of the time you will get caught buying gold.

 

Depends Dude if you are constantly buying 10k plus every day then they are going to look into it but if you just buy the odd 10k 20k here and there, You should be fine

 

i've sold 700k WoW gold to goldseller, haven't got banned at all. i think it if you would constant WoW gold from goldsellers you might have a chance to get banned, personally i don't know anybody who got banned for RWT. i shouldn't worry about it

 

my friend got banned and he only bought 17k so i guess it varies?

 

Well I'd like to update this, I'm a normal player with a fair amount of disposable income at the moment, seen as I only PvP I just buy my gold.

I have now over the last 3 weeks probably bought ~ 130k, I am buying in amounts of roughly 15k a time, 3 days a week. No ban, nothing.

I have made some more friends on my realm, a friend of mine bought 400k 2 weeks ago at once, nothing.

I think in Pandas they really don't care, unless you're very unlucky. There's SO MUCH gold been passed around on my very large server, and so many people buying and selling gold, I guess they just don't want to keep up with it.

 

That and whether or not Blizzard likes to admit it the bots keep the economy flowing on lower pop servers. Of course they have to take a hardline 'official' stance but I've seen so many terrible fucking bots go on for 3 months before being banned that the only possible explanation that Blizzard is letting most of the botting & gold sales go unhindered.

Yea I botted steady for 2 and a half months before being banned on my mule on a low pop realm. I basically went 15-20 hours a day. I reached a point where my mail box was full and guild bank as well. When I botted on a high pop realm my first account levelled through RAF lasted 3 weeks and the 2nd SOR account was gone within the first week. The one on low pop was also a SOR, I think it has more to do with the player reports as well, on high pop there's more reports against you.

Also I'm down for some pvp even though I'm not that great at it, I'll pm you my b-net.

 

Bought around 25k gold many months ago, was never banned. As the users of have stated, if you are cautious, nothing will come off it. Good luck.

 

Blizz doesn't really seem to target gold buyers especially for small amounts, they tend to go after the suppliers more.
