I needed to do something for school. (LARGE PIC)

So for my video tech I had to try my best at photography. I used a crappy 8mp phone camera, but I think it came out well.

the one on the right is nice. i like what you did with the exposure.

 

I don't know what that is. I just messed with lighting and gradient maps in Photoshop.

 

The photographs themselves are okay, I guess.
In the left picture, you can see your foot, which kind of ruins it.
Photography is about perfection in a picture, although your dogs are super cute.

 

I like the one on the right. It has a nice crisp look & the piece itself draws you into it. Btw, nice foot xD

 

Yeah I tried to remove the foot but it was like 3 am and I just ignored it xD Thanks for the feedback.

 

I am not too experienced with photography itself and the other commenters have already given advice on that so I won't post anything about that.

Have you given any thought to using photoshop to touch up the picture? I can see that in the picture on the right you have emphasised the foreground (dog) and the background is kind of blurred. There are smart filters in PS6 you can use to sharpen the foreground and blur the background or if you don't have PS6, you can do it manually with the blur/sharpen/burn etc tools.

 

I did. These photos were really poor quality when i took them and they are really surprisingly better now.
