Liberty Reserve Perm Down

Looking at a news report, it looks like Liberty reserve might be permenently closed down. It's already been down for 3 days.

I got about $5,300 stuck on my LR -_-

Im afraid the word is gone. LR owners have all been arrested and the site has been down for days I dont think its coming back

Use Bitcoin instead. LR was used for BTC transactions back in '11 which attracted the movement agencies for research on them. BTC is decentralized so government agencies can't really do much about it however they're already trying to regulate it.

I'm sure all frozen $$$ will come back after an investigation unless you used LR very suspiciously.

Agreed. Much like the recent FullTilt Poker laundering case, in due time, your money SHOULD be refunded - though I'm not too experienced with LR withdrawals, so take my word on the matter with a grain of salt.

 

Well, I hope the CR government isn't a shit like US and doesn't fuck up the servers and stuff.

There's A LOT of money in that and it should be given back to the users.

This happened to pokerstars. However all non US residents / players were able to withdraw their money after a grace period.

 

Which is what most likely will happen with LR too.
