    Speaker Setup

Hey guys I want some help with what you guys think would work for me on a budget of around $200 to have a decent speaker system to mix on in my room and potentially small get togethers. I need something that can handle Dance music and I've been leaning towards active speakers. I know this is a super common question but every time i research it I get flooded with all types of technical terms and set ups and brands etc.. and it just leaves me kind of lost.

I would like to have 2 speakers with possibly a sub or a set up which I could add a sub to in the future due to financial constraints.

My room is pretty small so I'm not looking for festival-level sound either just decent loudness and at least some bass.

    Thanks Guys!

audioengine A2's. Yeah, they're not a surround system...and yeah they dont have a sub with them... But I promise you these things don't need one. They have tons of punch and their clarity is above the levels of bose computer speakers by a long shot, so there's something to be said about their quality. build quality is top-notch(beats the heck out of the shitty paper/poly cone woofers that bose, klipsch, creative, sony, and logitech use in their systems... these are woven kevlar woofers)

if you have a dedicated soundcard with it's own LFE output...you can add a sub to these. But I am telling you now...you'll be happy with these even without a sub.
