How to change IP address for the duel arena?

Hey so I met some guy told me two of the digits your ip needs to be set at to get a good pid in the duel arena. I dont know if he's right or not but I figured I'd try it... Does anyone know an easy way to change/customize your ip address? I've been trying for a while and can't figure it out I'm terrible with computers...

You could use a VPN (virtual private network). It basically allows you to use a server with different ip. Or you can do it manually with your router, for example if you're using a linksys router go to youtube and search "how to change your ip using a linksys router". There might be other ways, but can't think of any.

Your pid is based on your ip unlike eoc.

But you cant get better pid because you changed your ip.

One day your ip might be highest pid and the next day it might be lowst pid.

Thats why sometimes you have pid on someone one day and the next day they have pid on you.

 

I believe your pid changes each time you log in. Making it nearly impossible to manipulate.

The OSRS PID system is different to the PID system of today - back then it was based on specific digits of your IP (if you and an opponent had the same level of awesomeness in your IP, it then relied on who logged on first).

Try proxy systems and programs, mate. There are tons of them out there.

There are also programs that some people have made specifically for PID'ing, but don't go searching for them deeply because you'll probably just get a virus.

 

tbh instead of paying money for a vpn or any of that junk I would just manually change ip till you encounter a good pid. If you have a dynamic address just try reconnecting to isp several times until you get a good pid. if you have static then it takes longer because you have to wait for ip reassignment

 

Pid on eoc is base on when you login, ask a mate to stand next to you, log in and out and follow him and ask him to move round, keep doing this until you get a good PID which you can see by if there is no lag as he moves, ie you follow him instantly with no lag/falling behind him
