Situation sorted.

 

How did your skype get hacked?

 

Apparently there's an exploit going around that you can recover a Skype account if it doesn't have any past purchases on it (which would explain why I haven't been hacked yet). I heard Microsoft are fixing it though.

Yea, R2 if you make a new account make a Skype credit purchase.

 

Sense i have purchased skype credit I haven't been hacked ether. So far that is the best solution that has been found.

 

I may as well report that purchasing a Skype product hasn't done anything for me.

 

Sounds good. Could you explain how purchasing credit prevents you from being hacked? I've done it over a month ago, also not being hacked on Skype so far.

My Skype had purchase history on it when it was hacked. I have found a method which I believe keeps me safe. However, based on the security I've seen from the company in the past, I will hesitate to say I am certain it works. I also cannot share my method, since it could put me at risk if the info was public.

 

glad you got this all sorted, I am currently in the process of regaining access to my old Skype so that the hacker does not have potential to scam any other users.
