At least his honest, I think he was hoping it would hit the media and people would donate for shits and giggles.

 

I did this on Habbo Hotel years back.. Not with a Lamborghini, but everyone could see I was rich and I just said "donate so I can get another dino (some expensive thing on the game)" and people just said lolol and donated to me rather than the little sad saps who go round pleading for shit.

I bet he's probably made a little money from it.

If you're unfamiliar with this site, basically a guy sold 1 million pixels on his site for $1 per pixel...Somehow he managed to sell every pixel.

I wonder if people would use fake paypal accounts and just chargeback for teh lulz.

Still, a sly way to make easy money and get what you want. It's a win win for him, he got the word spreading and he would end up with thousands if he doesn't get enough for a lambo.

According to his twitter, he did this very recently and he's had quite a few donations, I didn't see anything about any numbers though.

 

He's going to have loads of fun getting this one past IRS without some 32% capital gains tax or something like that (given that he actually makes a sizable amount of money from this)

 

I think it's humorous and creative in an ironic sort of way, I kind of want to see it happen to be honest. ^_^

 

Anyway, I guess he'll get more or less money finally!
