Just wondering, should I put 2 years down to learn all I have to, and start my own business or work in a firm?

Well, you could earn big bucks if you know the finest graphics / animation work because big companies MIGHT want some designs etc and you may go to them and propose and who knows if they like it, they can pay you.

Well it's hard to get into the game. You're not going to make a living doing something like YT intros. So if you have connections and can get into the industry then sure, if not I don't know.

2 years is a long time in the technological world right now,
everything can change long term in industry, computing changes rapidly.
you would be better off independently studying what you want to learn
before considering if classes are worth while..... if you are serious, you can teach yourself quicker than a university can, yet the paper and degree will still mean something to employers..... there are way more profitable industries at the moment online which take less time to learn, you would be wasting time most likely unless your dream is to become a world famous animator or some big cheese like that.
