Need Help With PayPal

So I was trying to buy stuff with PayPal, and it said I had reached my limit. But I hadn't ever sent anyone a single cent on the PayPal account, so I called them. They said that their system was limiting me, and I have to link a bank account or a card to my account. I, however, do not have either of those.

So my question is this: Can I use a prepaid credit card/gift card to verify my PayPal account? If not, what other options do I have? By the way, I live in the USA, which is what I put in my PayPal account info.



I'm not sure if this is the correct section, but I've seen other people post similar questions here, so...

I haven't used Paypal in years but as far as I recall they no longer accept pre-paid gift cards etc. in order to reduce scamming numbers and underage users.

If I make a PayPal and enter some other country (Canada, UAE (Some person suggested this) etc), would it work? Wouldn't they know it's fake because I'm accessing it from the USA, and if I have to call them, I'll have to call from the USA?

 

You are setting yourself up to be black listed from PayPal for good mate, just abide by their rules.

 

I don't have a credit card or bank account to link to my PayPal. What else can I do? :/

 

Ask someone you trust (parents, friends, sibling) if you can access their paypal? I know I used a relatives when I first started out, but that's dependant on how much someone can trust you. When I received payments they withdrew the cash and gave me it when they could. It would do until you had one of your own.

As Fendle said, don't try to hide from it. It will probably catch up with you eventually.

 

So what can I do about my remaining PayPal balance?

I'm not sure if I will be able to find someone who will let me use their PayPal, but I will try, thank you.

Depends how old you are, opening a bank account is easy. You're going to need one sooner or later so why not just open one.

You can't do anything. Convince your parents, or get a bank account/CC of your own. No point making new accounts as they'll be limited within hours, if not sooner.

Entropay sell virtual debit cards. You can add it to your paypal.

 

Sorry but you cannot. Trust me, ive tried many times. Get a debit/credit card and be done with it.
