EOC Mage Def lvling

I just came back to RS to play EOC for fun, made a new account and started leveling magic. I don't know much about how combat training works now, but since you cant switch to a defensive stance anymore how do you level defense in order to wear higher level robes as a mage?

 

If you want to level defence while training mage you need to select it under the xp in the combat tab. Shame OP's banned :/
