Besides running and swimming, what are some core exercises I can do at home?
Can't do actual weights till this summer, Have you meet anyone who has done P90X and sen results?

I'm an endomorph and currently losing weight, I'm currently losing on about 12-15 pounds a month from walking and eating right, I've had some thoughts about running but everyone that I seek advice from says it's not good for the knees.
I'm currently 271, Three months ago I was 309, I think i'm making fantastic progress but am ready to bump up my cardio, what do you think on it? Should I lose more weight before I run or could I start now?

I havent seen anyone who has done P90X, so i can't help you with that .

But If you want to get your abs to show the best protein for you would be protein with no or very low carbs.

Ill use this protein as an example as im from the uk and this is where i would get protein from -> http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/impact-native-whey-95/10615598.html

The most ideal way to make your abs show is to get a low body fat percentage, which can be quite hard to do this all depends on your diet, and your lifestyle...

May i ask what are you doing currently?

I can write up a diet for you if i know what kind of things you are doing at the moment.

This is probably a good guide to follow for exercises you can do at home.

    http://uk.askmen.com/top_10/fitness_top_ten/53_fitness_list.html

Other than that as said above if you have any weights or heavy objects at home that can be used, Deadlifting is a good way to build your core up as well as training your legs. If you dont have any idea what this is please let me know and ill find a easy access one on youtube for you to copy.

Please get back to me on what kind of foods you like and ill be able to write up a diet.
How much are you weighing at (in stones) and what is your height (in feet and inches)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blocks id suggest start running but make sure you have proper Running trainers, and try to run on soft ground such as grass.
Also look at some core excerises you can do at home in your spare time.

Id also suggest start a bit of weight training, high endurance.

If you have never weight lifted before get back to me and ill write up a plan for you and get some videos sorted out for you to copy.

High endurance training means, you dont have much rest between sets usually around 30 seconds, i do this at the moment before i start running im already sweating.

Get back to me if you dont understand anything.

I've never really "lifted" weights, I've done a few curls with 20 pound bells, but other than that nothing really, some tips would be fantastic :)

do you have access to any dumbells, or a local gym?

if you do get back to me and ill find plenty of vids of exercises that will be good for you.

Weights will put on a bit of muscle, but the main aim will be to endurance train to get rid of any unwanted weight.

I find if you do weights as well as running you should be shredding the pounds.

Any tips for an underweight vegetarian?
    I'm 21, 5'11 but only about ~110 pounds.
I eat about 1500-200 calories per day, and eat everything I can as a vegetarian (not a vegan, so I do eat eggs and dairy and cheese - lots of it!).
I just can't seem to gain weight no matter what I do - I've been told I don't eat enough, but I'm not one of those people that can just start eating twice the amount I eat, my body won't allow it (I have IBS if you know what that is).

Also any basic weight lifting and other techniques would be helpful - I'm going to attempt to go to the gym as much as possible as it's supposed to make me eat more and get cut, even if I'm skinny.

A basic diet and basic weight training tips would be MUCH appreciated (keeping in mind that I'm a vegetarian!). Please PM me if you could do this for me :)

What is your opinion on Shaun T's - INSANITY 60 day DVD workout plan?
I've done 60 days and then take a break of 2 weeks and now I'm on day 31 of the second session. I have seen a pretty big improvement however I'm wondering if l should be using the gym at the same time? I used to go to the gym before (4 day workout 45-1hr sessions) I got the DVDs however stopped going as I saw quicker results with the DVD.
Opinions only I don't want to be slated.
    I'm 5"10, just over 12 stone.
    Thanks in advance

Really depends on what your current body composition is, as well as what your goals are.

I usually rock 100% Whey from Optimum Nutrition, Or Extreme 60 from GNC. Both very great whey/hydrolyzed whey protein supplements.

I'm a mix between an EndoMorph and a Mesomorph. My goals are pretty simple I want to maintain how I am now as I feel in pretty good shape and maybe bulk up a little more before I go on hols to Barbados at the end of July (probably won't change much between now & then!) I even got my graduate Tshirt as I sent in before & after pictures after my first 60 days.

Well if you want to bulk up, then obviously you will need to start logging some quality time in the gym.

Insanity is not a terrible program for someone untrained. If you want to take the next step then I suggest "Starting Strength" by Mark Ripptoe, good primer on the basics of compound lifts.

Not attempting to hijack your thread but ANYONE who is looking to gain strength, functionality and size should definitely look into Starting Strength. These FAD programs like P90X and i'm going to assume Insanity do not compare to barbell training. If you are skinny as fuck with little to no muscle mass and learn the lifts of Starting Strength (or even Babylover's version, which is my preferred version) you will put on so much more size and strength in those 90 days.

But to be be honest if you're 5"10 and over 12 stone you can run starting strength easily until you hit a 2/3/4 plate bench, squat and deadlift. Just make sure you're at a caloric surplus, hitting your recommended amount of protein (which would be around ~150g, give or take considering I don't know your BF%), enough rest, applying the principle of progressive overload and drinking heaps of water, you could hit the 220 bench, 315 squat and 405 deadlift within a year of serious training.

EDIT: This is me just assuming your goals are to become stronger and gain muscle mass.

yeh thats it basically try to intake the amount you weigh in lbs, so if you weigh 180 lbs, try get 180g of protein, you dont need this much but the more the better that way you get enough without thinking whether you have gained enough protein..

As for carbs x2 lbs, so 360g carbs for someone who weighs 180lbs, pretty simple really, pasta is a really good weight gainer.

pasta and fish for tea every night and you cant go wrong lol

If you need help sorting a plan out send me a pm, i can help you as much as i can, providing you tell me the times of day you can eat + what you dont like eating.

    I was 95kgs before ( around 210pounds ) and went down to 69kgs ( 152lbs ) in 7 months, and I'm 5'2ft.
I found out lately that while running, I have a slight pain below my knees, and also my knees kinda hurt from doing other exercises.
Could you also suggest a proper diet chart for me, so that I could lose weight? I found it difficult to lose weight now.
