    Programming question

Are there any programmes or a way of making a programme that could make a random string if words that make sense together for example it could write an advanced and professional sounding creative writing piece? Or a professional sounding set of lyrics with rhyme and a chorus etc? Could it be possible and does it already exist?

    Programming question

It is of course possible it's just a matter of figuring out an algorithm to do it which is less programming and much more math / computer science.

    Programming question

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I though it probably would somehow be possible, but perhaps unless there's a large scale reason for it, it would be faster/easier to just do the work yourself...is there an example where this has been done before? I've seen programmes freely available which male song lyrics however they often don't make any sense and don't rhyme etc

    Programming question

A computer has no emotion. By the time you created a program that could make half decent rhymes you could've made FAR better yourself.

    Programming question

A computer is certainly capable of creating syntactically correct sentences, and could even participate in dialog to some point (cleverbot, google it), but the day that a programmer is able to replicate creativity, imagery, emotion, and significant meaning is the day that all written art becomes obsolete

I can vouch for this; the algorithms used in computer generated sound are absolutely tedious. But this is certainly possible. Question is, do you have all the monies?

How much would you need to develop this?

    Programming question

Me personally? Enough to hire some of the best programmers, audio engineers, statisticians, and scientists who would be interested in this kind of project. I can't personally do this...no matter what kind of money you throw at me (unless I am able to hire those people and just sit in the corner eating pudding).

    ....

    yeahhhh.

I can get by, haha. I actually run a technical consulting company at the moment which specializes in computer consultancy, but am currently expanding it to fit what I am studying. :D

Oh wow you're doing all that while still studying? That's impressive! I've just recently started learning java and c++ I'm not great and my add doesn't help but it's great fun to learn still!

    Programming question

All great men have ADD...I officially diagnosed myself with it a while back lol. I guess the reason I do so much is because of my ADD.

Java and C++ are a good start; Java is the bastard child of C++, so learning one goes hand in hand with the other.

    Programming question

ahh that's handy to know! There's definitely some noticeable similarities between the two already! I started learning python also, but a lot of people said it was a waste of time etc... so I decided not to. That seems to be extremely simple in comparison to c++
