How often do you guys have these awesome dreams? I basically can have a lucid dream whenever I want, it's the shit when you have enough brain power to do that. Lastly, what are your lucid dreams about?

I had the most fucked up one yesterday. Gosh still can't believe it so weird plus all my friends were on it. We had like a mansion and we hosted a party and out of sudden pornstars start coming in looking for the hosters and like a big fucking orgy it happened <3-

    Lucid Dreams

I love this topic. Depends on my mood but I can induce one every night if i were to choose to. Lately its been once or twice a week. My dreams are mainly revolving around my own personal fears, desires, opinions, views, dreams, etc. Last one I had involved me being in some unknown area and everything was grey and all of the faces were distorted and unrecognizable. I knew they had faces and I could distinguish differences in voices (male from female and also age). Pretty sure it was my mind's interpretation of my past personal experiences and memories as a child.
Also to note, I haven't experienced a normal dream for many months, maybe even over a year. All of my lucid dreams are self-induced before falling asleep, essentially my body is asleep and my mind is still functioning so there is a very short lapse in between actually dreaming while unconscious and dreaming while conscious. So basically I never dream unless I force myself to. But I sometimes have trouble differentiating between what is truly going on in my head before the unconscious dream state and when I am actually in that state. But i remember the dreams in their entirety for a few days usually and can actually re-enter the same dream over the next night or two if i choose to. I believe the longest i prolonged a single dream was two weeks when I re-entered the same dream 5 times plus the initial time and it carried through that time. I can also realize I am inside of a dream and leave it to go into another new and unrelated dream or i will wake myself up. Its similar to the movie Inception in a sense of by paying to the smallest details you can find flaws that expose the reality that you are dreaming.
I am pretty certain over the past 4 years or so that I have dreamed unintentionally maybe twice. Now i know people say you don't remember most of your dreams but as a child and early adolescent I would have 2-3 dreams a night every night for years. Sometime around 7 years ago i stopped dreaming over the course of two or three night without any reason as to why and since then that's been the case with the exception of maybe <10 unintended dreams over those 7 years.

You dream every single night. What you actually remember the next morning is another matter entirely. I haven't had the time to fully get into lucid dreaming at the moment, although it's something I'd probably want to practice at some point in the future.

You can be a complete idiot and lucid dream. I'd rather have the sub conscience run the show as it is more interesting.

Every time i attempt to have one it fails. I realize im dreaming and im like "This isn't right...." then i wake up.

EDIT: what's worse is when you are attempting to lucid dream then you fall into sleep paralysis...scary shit.

The best way to have a dream is to go to sleep then set your alarm for around 3am, wake up and think about what you want to dream about. You can write this down on a bit of paper next to your bed if you forgot and when you go back to sleep you will more than likely start dreaming about what you was thinking or at least have some type of dream that you will remember.

Some of you really don't know what you're on about. I don't always dream and you have a dream every night are bogus statements. Everyone dreams whenever they enter REM sleep, and this usually happens around 4-6 times a night on average. You are more likely to recall a dream if you wake up within 8 minutes of coming out of REM sleep, and you aren't likely to remember one if you've moved out of stage 5 more than 20 minutes before waking up. There is also a relation between dreams and eye patterns, so next time your mate is asleep next to your or your girlfriend/wife/lover/husband or w/e is, make sure you look at their eye movements that you can see through their eyelids, as they represent well. For instance, those watching a tennis match's eyelids are likely to go from side to side.

It takes practice. Although it's not difficult to do.

This. Do you still rest as if you weren't lucid dreaming? This is the first time I hear about this.

Yes, of course you do. For those that don't know Lucid Dreaming is similar to normal dreaming, just you are aware that you are dreaming and can control yourself and environment and do just about anything in it. It can take some time/practice to master but once you get the hang of it it become relativity easy to do. The most common things people do in lucid dreams is stuff like sex and flying, mainly because they're things you can't do in real life either due to laws of physics or because of social consequence.
