So I was at work the other night. Jan 3, I was one of the INT-In the ER. Well this night unlike any other happened to be a slow night maybe only 20-40 patients in the ER, I was sitting at the front desk on the PC searching Sythe like any other night, when a homeless women walks into the ER screaming of sharp pains in her abdomen. From there I went on to bring the women into the ER's Triage rooms where I called for a General Surgeron Consult, which this was in the middle of the night so I was going to have to wait about 2 hours for the OCP to get to the ER.
Wile doing my Triage paper work, I asked the women had she had any sexual intercourse in the last 5-10 weeks. She replied to me "not that I know of" therefore i went onto the next question. From there I went on to taking her BP and everything else that is required on a Triage Transcript. I then went on to checking the women abdomen where I saw the purple discoloration to the left and right of her lower rib cage, which made me call down for a CT of the ladies pancreas. Suddenly the women began to bottom out her BP dropped 80/50 Diastolic. She plunged into cardiac arrest. Me being a Student I went on to push the (Code Purple) to call all standby Doctors and Nurses to the ER's, by the time they all got there I had been doing CPR for about 30 second's. Keep in mind im Unauthorized to give patients any medicines I can only perform CPR and Triage. Therefore when the women went into cardiac arrest my only option was to watch her slowly die, or start and continue CPR, when the Doctors finally arrived the women was near death, the OCP walked in the room droopy as if nothing was going on and yelled at me, Get out !!! I then said sir I believe you need to push 23 of Epi. (My first Mistake) . He replied have you been through medical school. I said "no sir" he yelled again get out !! I then yelled back at my Attending Physician OMG Continue CPR, when we both turned our heads back to the patient we were covered in blood that had shot out from the Women Vaginal Area, by this time there was nothing we could do for the women she was gone, from there I stood in awed. I believe I did all I could do but I should have done more.

Now my question:

I was relieved that night and told to go home and not come back until further notice. Today I was called back to the Hospital to find I had been written up for:

Failure to Triage as Trained to Do So - The women was pregnant. My attending said I was rushing and did not see that the women's stomach was pouched. (He wasn't even there and did not answer my page) 30 Day suspension

Failure to Obey Resident: He said I screamed at his Nurses and failed to leave the Room and it hindered his work which is why the women faded away.

Failure to Obey Proper Protocol- I failed to page my Attending as soon as the women entered the ER. ( Where the hell was the on call Physician)

Failure to Report ER (Possible Surgical Patients) Minor TTL

Failure to Abide by M Code (11343) Alert all Attending staff of CT

Failure to Abide by M Code (11232) Failure to notify Attending of Proper Triage Call

Failure to Abide by M Code (23989) Wait for consult before finishing Triage. Or calling for any Medical staging ( When I called for a CT) I really believed it was in the women best interest.

Well anyways with all of that I received a 30 day suspension and they suspended my Triage License.

I am going to appeal these decisions to the board because I feel that I did everything by the book and everything in my power to help the women, can anyone see where and if I went wrong anywhere ?

The hard part is not to receive my Triage License again I have to do another 90- days of Basically sucking my Attending Dick and holding his pocked to be certified again. + 44 More hours of training.
