rs2006?

So someone needs to fill me in. I have been awaiting the project rs2006 to be live. I have followed it somewhat for about 1 -2 years. I go to the site again and it redricts to runescape.com.

Did they get hacked again? Screw everyone over with the false project or get sued by jagex?

Jagex have apparently shut down the site, after contacting the creators and almost threatening to sue for copyright etc etc ...

Therefore the creators of 2006scape shut down the site, and hopped off with all the donations .. and that was the end of that.

 

I wonder how much they made for doing nothing? Lmao

 

According to Number1bosss, "Mod Vault" basically packed up, and ran with everyone's money. Supposedly, this guy scammed 50K USD and ran, and he's done it previous times before.

 

That sucks, i was looking forward to playing it

 

Nvm they're not done they made a new website since 2006scape.com takes u to rs the new one is like project06 something .com

 

Basically the guy packed up and left his staff team, and claimed that JaGeX had contacted him, and was going to sue him if he didn't shut down the production of 06scape.

Pretty much sums up to a big hoax, as he wasn't really around for most of the 'production' of the server.
