VPS Questions!

Hello all and I have some questions on a VPS and another question I hope you could help me out

My current understanding of a VPS is basically a supercomputer which you pay a fee monthly to use, dependent on how much you spend you get more bots etc..

I was going to check out RSUltimate's live chat but sadly no one was available

I'm going to check their free 24 hour trial when I have a few days spare and decide if I should purchase a month or not, the questions I have are;

1. If I want someone to make a script for me ( E.G Autotyper ) how would I transfer that into a client I can use for botting? ( Kinda off topic but still wanted to know )
2. Are VPS's worth it?
3. Does a VPS support all bot clients? e.g Simba, Powerbot etc​

 

If you are planning a vps from Fragvps, they use Linux for their operating system.

1. I am not sure about the answer.
2. Yes they are worth it because they reduce the cost of the electricity bill.
3. If the bot clients work on Linux, they should work. (Powerbot, Simba worked for me.)

 

What does Linux mean?

1. I guess i'll have to use trial&error
2. All my bills are paid for by a relative so no problem there
3. Can't you integrate scripts into Simba? So someone could just make me a script and it's ready to go?

Most VPS allows you to click and drag into their desktop. If that fails, search for any file-sharing websites on google and use the link.

2. Are VPS's worth it?

It depends on what kind of method you are botting and the price on gold atm. For now, it isn't good at all. You will find yourself with minimal profit with $0.25-$0.30/m


3. Does a VPS support all bot clients? e.g Simba, Powerbot etc

A VPS is just like another computer, you are free to install any bot you want from scratch, just like your own computer. Some Dedicated RuneScape Botting vps does have those bots pre-installed for you already.

Linux is just another operating system by another company. Microsoft produces Windows, RedHat[I think] produces Linux.

For your answer to point 2, I will be more worried about the cost of the VPS and cost of Runescape Membership if any. At current gold prices, it is just hard to even make ends meet.

For your point 3, yes you can. A Simba script is only as good as the script and the computing power of the VPS. If you can run the script smoothly on your own PC, then with enough RAM on your VPS, you can run them on your VPS.

Just make sure you are careful to read through the terms of service of the VPS website that you purchase from. Some encourage botting and already have multiple clients installed, but some other companies will suspend your service if you are caught running botting programs. Just something to look out for.
