[14th May] EliteSwitch v4 is Finally Here!

Auto's are coming a little bit later on down the track mate, keeping checking back for details though

 

Covey, you should definitely release a new version with the updated web host. Cause Eliteswitch keeps making error logs everytime I used it and it fails to get the webpage.

Haha that's reassuring . Atleast temporary folders come in use sometimes lol.

I also came across the same problem as Mopar'.
When the hiscore look up has a value set as 1 it initiates an error. I'll take a screenie when i get chance.

 

oo i must have missed mopar mention it, i'll take a look now.

EDIT:

seems jagex changed the way the lite hiscores work, was fixed with changing 1 character in the code
will update this weekend, nothing new will be added just all the links will be fixed so it can auto update later on when i actually getting around to developing again.

Alright, it's updated. I didn't bother changing the update version as there was really no point.

- Fixed a minor issue with the error system.
- Fixed highscores bug.
- Updated all links to the new server.
- Added a Server Status.
The Server Status is still being developed but does work, i'm just having a few problems trying to colourize and set some sub items to bold for the finishing touches.

 

Seems to be interesting, I may try this out soon.

Just thought i'd post to bump my thread and give ya a heads up on what i'm trying to get into this update.

• Minor adjustments to the Server Status
• Lighten up the layout colours
• Fix any bugs & typo's i come across
• Get the news page up & running
• Add a combat calculator (includes melee & ranged max hit)
• Bundle EliteSwitch with an Installer package
• Test the first live auto download

If you have any suggestions that you think are fairly simple to add into the next update, please go ahead and post them and i'll get back to you with my thoughts on them.

For now here is a sneak peak of the upcoming combat calculator:

Just browsing through an old beta release of v2.71 and came across a few ideas that may have not come up to be added into your upcoming update.

- Custom web links for EliteBrowse.
- A quick link to ImageShack, for uploading screenshots.
- EliteBrowse tabs (I know this was never implemented on any version. But couldn't remember if it was too big of a job, or too big of a piece of code.)
- A to-do list, that can be checked off when completed.
- A refresh applet button, for possible white screening / to reposition the RuneScape applet if it decides to go walk abouts.

I shall edit / post more as and when I think of more

 

Custom links and a to do list are easy to do, only problem is i don't have a settings system in place yet so they won't save just yet.
Refresh applet, the method i use to remove the ads (flaming idiots control) i cannot refresh the screen or move it, the only way to attempt to fix it if it hasn't loaded correctly is to hit "play runescape" again.
Tabs for EliteBrowse, i have set it up for tabs. But haven't got around to doing it yet, it should be fairly simple to do, but i haven't had a look at how to do it just yet.

 

I don't know if it is simple or not, but you should add a coordinate clue locator like Swiftkit has. That's the only thing that I have to use Swiftkit for instead of Eliteswitch.
