[14th May] EliteSwitch v4 is Finally Here!

I prefer you to code it properly instead of giving us a fuckitversion.

 

If you were paying for the use of the client then i'd see where you were coming from.
But as Covey is releasing it for your benefit more than his, and for free. Be greatful that v4 is being further developed at all.

Haha it won't crash, it's something to do with html parsing.
The page i'm parsing should be parsed in asp.net or regex but instead im just using instr(), mid() functions.

As the user, it does not make a difference you will not notice any difference in performance. But as a coder i know that this is not the correct way to parse this html.

 

What are you parsing anyway? :/

 

Probably item databases and such.

 

Clans, clan members, items, monsters and quests databases.

Haha Thr0wback, you made me feel guilty. So i went back and parse them 'correctly'
Didn't take that long when a had a look at the set out of the page i was parsing.

Anyway, just 1 more parse to add (quests) then ill add the error handling and put out an update

Version .5 BETA released
Added a lot of small fixes and adjustments that you may or may not notice.
But the main things i added were Clans, Clan Members, Items, Monsters & Quests Database searches + Highscores now lists Activities.

 

The parsing is very fast if you ask me (fast then the fastest client on the net ^^)

I like the new textbox (you didn't do "save screenshot as...")
I like how I can hover the icons, but what the hell are those 5 squares?

 

At a guess, I'd say they're awaiting images. Or the client hasn't loaded the images correctly.

Maybe they're to check mini-game rankings etc', and to compare stats.

 

Yer I found some secret urls that are meant for parsing .
Yer I still have a few textboxs to update yet, a few in the counters section as well.
Haha, those 5 squares haven't been coded yet, so they are disabled but they will do things like vibes mentioned. (take you to the official highscores page, compare users, adjustment log etc)

If I may suggest, in the next update can we get a normal calculator built in? Just a suggestion cause for me its a pain to have to load up OS calculator or open swiftkit for its calculator.

It's a toolkit for runescape, you play rs through a program which bunches several useful tools together. Download it and try it out before making judgements next time.

 

isn't this sorta like a ripped version of swiftkit?
