well sooooorrry, im sure you do that for your parents -.- i thought every parent in the whole entire universe got their kid a present on their birthday. I guess you could say it's... tradition? And anyway parents arent meant to have as much as a social life - thats why they got married and had kids.
I rest my case, probably along with every other 18- year old (excluding you (if you are under 18)) that they all want/expect/get presents for their birthday.

Hey there buddy. It's about time you open your eyes and realize that your neighborhood doesn't mean the whole world. You would really be surprised at how many people there are that are so much less unfortunate then you are. Some people expect a meal or two a day. That's their gift. Not everybody in the world has golden toilets etc. be grateful for what you DO have.

i was kidding. My birthday i didn't know what to get either so I asked for money, and my dad gave me a 500$ check that I kept to save. Then a month later I go to cash it in turns out he canceled the check because he didn't want me to get the money anymore. So yeah. ask for money lol
