    Deleting PM's

Okay this may be a bit stupid but,

If I delete my PM's what happens to them? Are they lost forever or do we have some sort of archive?

I mean, I don't wana delete all my PM's and then in 2 weeks get accused of scamming and not have anything to back me up. Also on the other hand, I don't want to have to screenshot 230 messages and save them on my computer, that would also be just as annoying.

Hope someone can help me out, sorry this is rather noobish, first time I filled my PM box on a forum, haha.

    Many thanks,
    Humpo.

You can select all of the PM's and where you'd normally select delete you can choose to download all of the PM's. :)

I've left the thread open in case you have any other questions about it :)

Note that when downloading PMs you can edit them after you download as they are in notepad format. If you want to save them without any possible way of editing involved, just screenshot them. You can use puush to easily screenshot and store them online.

Yeah I've considered downloading PM's in the past but I was led to believe they could be edited. Is it actually possible to delete the PM's in a different format or something and have them not editable so they can still be used for proof?

There is no way. Only way you can retain them in some form (non editing) after deletion is to screenshot them. Downloading them is only useful for reference to something at best, not for scam reports and such.

You can make folders, I have one called save, which I can put important PM's in, so when I clear inbox/sent items, they are still there. It's brilliant.
