Internet Help

Hey guys recently on games and while on the internet I have been dcing a lot.

My computer is good and I would love help on how to solve this. I will even pay rsgp if someone helps me solve it.

We have high speed DSL. Its wired directly to the router downstairs and im using two vision net Wireless adapters i think, I plug one into the router and the other into my computer. I have had these for a while and they have always worked good so I dont think its these.

Is this good speed btw, I took a speed test.





Edit: I just did an internet speed test on the computer downstairs and it was pretty much the same results as mine upstairs

 

When your internet disconnects, try pinging 8.8.8.8 (google) and your router's address and see if maybe it's the Wifi.

 

It's most likely the router. I would constantly disconnect for periods of time from almost nothing at all to up to a good minute or so. I couldn't figure out what it was until I bought a new router and stopped having this problem.. I got a nice Belkin dual band router now, so no problems anymore.

 

That speed is fairly bad compared to most in the US.

Does your net DC on other PCs? If so that means its either an ISP issue or something to do with your setup.

 

That's because it's DSL, not cable.

Edit: actually it only happens when im playing lol, it when it disconnects me from league of legends i cant use my internet for anything till i reset it

 

Is LoL the only place you've noticed it, or is that for a fact the only time it happens?

One thing you could try doing is opening/white listing the ports that LoL uses, your router may for some reason be blocking the traffic temporarily. Just a guess as of right now, could honestly be any number of things.

I have only noticed it while playing lol so im pretty sure it only happens when playing it because I dont have any problems while playing wow or rs.

If the ports were blocked wouldnt it not work in the first place. Its very random, it happens on both 3s and 5s and with different champions.

How would I go about checking if a port were blocked. Thanks so much for your help=)
