"Talking to you now" or "I can do this order"

So a mod decided to give me a "warning" for posting in my own thread quoting one of my buyers and acknowledged the fact that he posted on my thread by letting him know I had added him on Skype but he hadn't accepted it yet (Which it had been well over an hour since I had added him....
Anyways, not what this is about, but its the reason for this suggestion.. allow me to point this out, this is not a dispute for my warning because that would be against the rules, I merely posted this short story so you know why I am suggesting this

If I can't acknowledge my own damn buyers on my own thread, then I believe its time staff starts handing out infractinos for the phrases mentioned in the title..

I see dozens, if not more, of these posts a day, because users ask them to post in order to "bump" their thread early....

I see these bumps go unnoticed a lot, and I'm a fan of research I would be happy to locate a handful for staff and update the OP with links if they like.

So, way I see it. If I can get infracted for letting a potential buyer know I added him on my own thread, these phrases should be outlawed and infractable.

All these posts are acknowledgments, have they all been
given warnings or infracted yet?

 

We could implement a method where the thread owner can click/tick a box which shows that they have seen/read a message or done what has been said in it? Would reduce the amount of posts in threads just accepting orders etc?

 

why would you get warned for that, and which mod did?

all the top gold seller do the exact same thing just to keep their thread bumped

 

Ive had infractions for that also.

But i think the fact mods are getting at is "just pm the fucking guy."

Not going to say which mod because they don't seem to like it when you target them, but I agree, so many other people already do this..

Again, I don't care if it was just a warning and doesn't really count towards me getting banned, that means you will give me a point if I do it again and that isn't happening until others start getting the same punishment.

I'm ok with that, point of this suggestion..

I'm just not going to be the only one getting a warning for this, this leads back to bigger more important people getting away with more than the average joe.

 

if you don't state which mod this can't be resovled, we need answers.


people like r2p, grave, etc do thi every single day.. so you're obvly getting singled out and said mod needs to be demoted

I also sent him a PM and asked him to highlight the area of the rules I broke since all he did was send me a link to the rules page and said I was spamming and I never got a reply

He was online when I sent the message so not sure why I never got a reply, but to stay on topic since this is a suggestion thread, if the warning isn't removed from my profile I want every other big gold dealer on Sythe to be issued the same warning

 

Support, I get infracted for the most stupid shit. I wait a few mins, then go to the market section, and see loads of people just spamming threads.

 

he was recently promoted so he doesn't know what he i doing yet, i would just pm a upper staff member and get it fixed.

But the idea is to pm the guy; i guess it is sorta spamming...

 

KMJT issued me the same warning, all I did was inform my buyer that I have added him on skype, because he has been pming me on and on about how I didn't accept him on skype, so I decided to post that I've accepted every friend request, so he can get on skype.

PS - There was a confusion with skype, I wouldn't of posted "Accepted all requests", but the guy kept pming me and there was no requests, so I thought like what? He keeps on saying "added you", but I see no requests.

 

Like I said, in a way I can understand how this would be spamming...

But when EVERY other gold dealer does this on Sythe, including the most popular ones, why the hell can't I right?

So staff is left with a choice, remove my warning, or issue every other gold dealer the same warning I have received..

Otherwise, it would be like "singling me out"

No support, provided the mods do this to everyone.

It is spamming, similarly to a bump (once/8 hours i believe), in a sense because that type of talk should be delivered via PM. Not only that, but confirmations should ALWAYS be done via PM, it makes reporting a scammer much easier as moderators don't have to scroll through all deleted posts, they can just verify your screenshot.

it does need to be done for every, but it won't, mods are afraid to infract the top sellers for the most part, because then the sellers throw a huge bitchfit, which if you've been here long enough, you've seen happen.

 

Im in agreement with you. I dont mind that i got infracted; but if other people does it why dont they get infractions? That could have stopped my temp ban :O

It's a warning not an infraction... just don't do it within 8 hours next time. If you see "R2P or Grave" bumping within 8 hours then report it. It's likely that your post was reported.

 

So from now on I have to wait 8 hours to let my customers know I have seen their post and I have added them and ready to finish the sale? MOST of my buyers wont even turn their Skype on unless they see I have seen their post.
