Sythe.org Counter-Strike 1.6 Server

Hosted in Texas I believe. The server just needs to get more people active in it as it does not seem to attract non-sythe users. Since I started, I have yet to see a non-sythe user join which is odd.

 

Bump. I just have been thinking and came to a conclusion why the server is 24/7 empty. One of the main reasons is the mapcycle. Nano, I understand that you said you will not make it a fun/fun map server but I believe that is the core issue. Very few, if any, players here are pro's or come to a public server to play competitively. Rather, we just come for fun. The server has 2-4 people in at it MAX. So when maps like de_nuke/de_train come up, everyone gets discouraged because it is not a fun map to play on and is not a map to be played with <10 people.

Those maps CAN be played but should not me on the mapcycle (only when an admin is present and its voted on). I have a decent amount of experience dealing with game servers as I used to work for a company doing tech support/billing support. Seeing as there is not much to lose and if you are willing, id be willing to help revamp the server. Let me know.

 

I would definitely play if it was CoD4
maybe that could be the next game server?
and if it would be CoD4; stock or promod?
