Which one?

Need some opinions, Which one looks better? The simple one or with extra lights?

Simple:



Lights:

 

I think the added lights one would look better if the color actually was relevant to your theme. You have blue, purple, white and a little bit of green going and then you chuck a brown/purple in?
Also I think the green on the // should become either blue or purple for the sake of keeping the color scheme to 3 colors. Less is more some times. Also, if you look closely the Lights make it clip faintly around the edges of your sig, you should try to get rid of that.

Personally I feel the new one isn't that great, the energy beam thingys are too random to be effective imo, a white version of the brown added lights would look good but perhaps if they were less blurred. You should take a look at Shoop's UI here , his looks pretty nice. Of course you don't have to use wings exactly but it's just something to reference.

 

The one you have now. The 2nd one with flame looking things does not sit well with the teal colour of your text.

 

The one with the "lights" should be feathered out more. If you want to use if I would also recommend changing the color to something that would match the text.

Use Hue/Saturation to match the lights you use to your text, but really your sig has garishly bright colors and nothing goes well with that.
For now just leave it as it is but in the future have a go with better colors and you can add all sorts of lights
