Hey everyone, what should I do with this account.. recommended stats etc.

I'm planning on getting 99 Herb, but I don't know the best / cheapest way to get 90-99 herb.

Shows which herbs to purchase and clean then resell to profit. Using a bot you can clean around 7-8k herbs per hour.

 

if you are looking to get herblore up i'd just use a bot and do energy pots, as it is VERY cheep to get 99 herblore that way

How much, approximately for 99?

 

Energy potions is around 80k experience per hour with around 400k loss per hour. This is terrible advice (no offense prayerkid)

Cleaning grimy herbs as I suggested above you can reach around the same experience levels or even higher depending on the herbs + you profit

 

I was just about to say this, lol...especially since the strength shouldn't be an issue anyways. Also be sure to keep in touch with your skiller side, too.

You do realize that you have to have a good bank if you want to be able to gather up enough herbs to make it worthwhile, don't you?(The decent exp rates still aside...it takes many more herbs to level than it would a potion)

It may make you profit, but it all depends on if OP wants to sit on the forums nonstop to be able to gather up a decent amount of the better herbs(if they happen to be more worth it at the time; There's a 10k limit/4 hrs) if their bank is kind of low. Who really wants to have to constantly buy and sell in a couple k's if they only have like 10m to spend? I'm not saying it isn't doable with a lower bank, but some probably couldn't handle the hassle. :x


Also @ OP, I highly recommend getting the dunge tokens to spend on the scroll of cleansing if you decide to make any pot. It gives you a 1/8 chance of making a pot quicker but, more importantly, gives you a 1/10 chance of saving a second ingredient(which can add up because it's not every tenth but the chance of each time you make one). This can save you a lot in the long run if you keep an eye on how much you'd normally lose with *fill in a potion*'s second.

Why would this matter?

When I did it I never went to Jagex forums, if I were desperate I'd simply have a few companions purchase 10k for me. Buying 10k of one type of herb then say having 3 friends purchase an additional 10k each is 40k herbs. This is enough to run the bot for over 4 hours til you can buy more. Also there are always several herbs you can clean resulting in a profit. If you really wanted to, you could always clean a herb with a slight loss and maintain a similar exp rate to doing potions without the massive loss. With the multiple herbs available to being purchased though, you can easily buy 40k herbs yourself (10k herbs of each of 4 different types). Enough for over 4 hours cleaning.

Doing herbs is not recommended if you have to buy and sell in a couple of k's if they only have like 10m to spend, but if they are poor then doing herblore itself is not recommended at all, as it simply demands cash.

 

Just because I'm a fan of skilling, get 99 mining and woodcutting. Some nice capes on the account

What would be the point in asking for the cheapest way if you're making decent cash via the blackmarket? Not everyone has a well established service, etc.

It matters because, herbs being a small amount of exp each, you'll need much more of them to level(since it really is a hassle to anyone who can't afford to get enough in one go to level, profit excluded)

You state it demands cash and isn't really for poor players yet you go on about a potentially profitable way? Hmm...

You only kind of proved my point there. I never said you couldn't work with 10m, because if an herb is profitable at the time, it's profitable. I meant that some would find it too much of a hassle to have to keep constantly buying/selling in several k's because of not being able to afford the full amount for a level(since, although you can get decent rates, you need a bunch more herbs than pots to level, which means it can cost a bunch more just to collect enough, the end profit/loss aside).

 

In regards to a med-level range tanks stats, I would suggest:

78 Defence
74 Prayer
99 Range
99 Mage
90+ HP
88+ Summoning
87+ Summoning (For chaotic Crossbow & Rigour)

Also finish your 99 Herblore, the cape is definitely worthwhile.
