    RSGP Scam

Okay so I sold this guy 30m rsgp for like $12 and I gave it to him as promised and it seems everything went well. He then later files a dispute on the payment and now I'm negative $8 on my account. I never really scammed him so what is going to happen like will they make me pay somehow or something? Not sure tbh.

Well I have a prepaid credit card with 66 cents on it and that's honestly about it.

I think they might do something. I've heard of PayPal knocking on people's doors for reasonably high amounts that are negative on people's accounts. I don't know what they'll do about $8, though. Either way you'll have to pay back the $8 to your PP before your balance will be normal again.

Also, make sure you report the person who scammed you here if you haven't already (remember to read the stickies) - http://www.sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=253

If it was linked to a bank or credit card it wouldn't be negative.

OT: You need to make a report a scammer thread so he doesn't do this to another Sythe member, assuming he is from Sythe.

Just report him on the report a scammer section, that's all you can do at this point. From now on try to be sure to only trade trusted members.

It's not linked to any of your accounts so you can just leave it if you want.

There is pretty much nothing you can do. It is unlikely that paypal will come after for $8.

If it were more than $8 they would more than likely come after you. One of my buddies sold RSGP for $20 and it was charged back bad he got letters mailed to his house. The same thing happened to me but on a much large scale ($230) and I filed a dispute and I haven't seen a cent back. It is disgusting how some people can just scam like that. It sickens me how easily the money can be taken back using paypal. Literally all you have to say is to your credit card company that someone used your paypal and then the scammer practically gets all there money back.

This is such a lie. They cannot and will not just randomly take money from your credit card or bank account. It is against the law for them to start doing things like that. And I ahve gone 2k negative on Paypal from a chargeback on Ebay and they never even once called my house sent a letter and they certainly won't be sending some guy to your door. All of these people filing fake chargebacks is a crime and they don't even attempt to do anything to them so why do you think they would send someone to your house like its some back alley bookie. {Pay up suka} And regardless of what they might want to tell you they are not allowed to charge your card for anything. Best they could do is take you to collections and that is if you gave them your social security number. You could use your real name even and they still couldnt take you to collections. Would they just guess you are the only John Smith or whatever. People knock Paypal for their crappy policies but they also have crappy policies that leave them unprotected also.

Just make a new account with a new email and new prepaid next time you need an account.

Either way, it would be a smart decision to clear that balance whichever way you can. I don't imagine your account will be active until you do so.

Provide tracking information that you indeed shipped the items. Mark intangible for delivery confirmation, etc. In the notes post, this item was for virtual goods. Paypal does not provide insurance on virtual goods.
