Who is playing this? Released 2 days ago. (21 August 2012)

I just downloaded the trial and played for 45 minutes, seems pretty epic.

    Might purchase...

I have never played any of the old Counter strikes but I am really enjoying this one. It may not be as fancy as COD or something but it makes up for it in really intense and fun gameplay.

I wish they could have made it cross platform multiplayer like they were planning =(.

Its been released on Xbox 360 as well as PC. About time really as i prefer Xbox gaming nowadays to PC gaming, especially for FPS.

Yeah I've bought it now and its really good :), i prefer it over COD now. Doesn't need to be fancy to be good, its simple, competitive and intense fast-pace gameplay.

Cross platform as in PS3 players being able to connect to Xbox 360 players? not quite sure what you mean.

Well after researching a bit I don't think it was planned for Xbox actually (My bad) but Valve originally announced that they planned for PC, Mac and PS3 players to be able to play against each other which would have been quite cool seeing I have friends on all consoles.

The trial is basically the FULL game, you just have 45 minutes of game time to play it until it runs out then you have to purchase it to carry on playing.

I haven't experienced much lag on it tbh, maybe 1 in 15-20 games.

Yeah the online is really good, just annoying you have to be in game chat when playing online so you can't be in an xbox live party or private chat.

Lol oh really? Thats a load of crap.

I never really played the original Counter Strike Source, i played it once or twice if that. So when i bought Global Offensive i was essentially a newcomer myself, the game doesn't take too long to pickup how everything works and what makes it different to other FPS's like COD.

But then these days, all games are getting progressively easier and easier to support a wider target market, its not surprising IGN are complaining for some people the game might be "too hard" or "not easy on them".

Its a game, you can't start it being an expert, like anything else, it takes practice.
