Combat Beta and PKing

Just notices that the Jagex is building a new combat system. I personally loved RS2 combat and even more RS Classic combat but if Jagex thinks it needs upgrade then it has to be true. :laugh:

Anyway, I'm brainstorming how this update affects PKing in general.

From what I gather, the new system calculated combat levels will be from 4 to 200, so the first thing that pops into my mind is that PKing will move into deeper wilderness. Peoples will have bigger variety in combat levels and staying in low wilderness will not have enough oppodents you can attack.


The new combat formula:
2 + Defence + X = Combat Level
X = The highest of either Attack, Strength, Ranged or Magic
Looks like the new flavor of PKers will be with 99 strength, attack and 1 defence. They would be 101 level and miles ahead of anything else.

Anyone knows if magic and prayer will be added to the formula?
Any other ideas you've gotten?

 

I think if they release it a lot of the old pkers will quit honestly

 

Magic is added into formula just in the same way as strength, attack and so fourth. But prayer and summoning are to become obsolete when factoring into combat levels, therefore you could be level 3 with 99 summoning/prayer.

 

Any idea how exactly it is calculated with magic and ranged?
