Uhm what does this mean?

Logged in my account today to find that someone had tried to remove my pin? My password hadnt been changed etc so what does this mean?? I was also in the same spot i had logged out from earlier.

P.S Im at a hotel could that mean anything?

 

Change your password and don't log into RuneScape while you're in a hotel.

Does any of your IRL friends share the account?

 

Did you look at the ip address that you last logged in? I have had the same thing happen to me before in the exact same situation as you. Maybe last time you banked you accidentaly clicked you didnt know it

I think you will be fine if your character wasnt even moved. If your scared just change the password

 

It means just that: someone logged into your account and attempted to change your pin.

Change your password, scan your computer and then change your password again. Keep an eye on your email and make sure you have updated recovery information.

It's probably possible for someone to sniff the public wifi and get passwords somehow, but I doubt that's what happened. Of course, if it was some public, 'hotel-lobby' computer -- those things are probably loaded with viruses.

No i was using my private laptop with the hotel wifi.

 

EDIT: They cracked the pin and the new password. I scanned the laptop aswell as suggested. GF 30B Bank. No thats not a typo its thirty.

That is unfortunate, you shouldn't type your bank pin in on someone else's wifi, i would lock your account for the duration of the time.

 

They either cracked it or could somehow see my screen. Struggling to deal with it atm.

 

Wow 30B taken? Feel sorry for you man, just have the account locked and maybe you had a RAT? Those suckers could take your pin and everything I don't remember what the programs were to check for a RAT but you can message Laptop and ask him.
