Never played airsoft but pretty curious about it.

How do these guns and BB guns differ?

    Does it hurt a lot?

How much does an average airsoft gun cost?

I know a couple people that are into this at my school so I was always wondering.

Would love to have an Airsoft gun. Unfortunately Australian gun laws mean you need a licence and a reason even for an Airsoft which is pretty bloody ridiculous.

You got some nice guns. I used to be really into airsoft and would go to tournaments twice a month or so. There would be 100-150 people there on several acres of land and it was a blast. Definitely more fun than I ever had playing paintball. I especially love the realism of airsoft, which is why I always found it much easier to get into. I also made a lot of money flipping guns, so I had a lot more than this, but these are the only ones I could find pictures of. My main project was the CA G36c/k and it had well over a grand put into it. When I played I usually either used my G36 or AUG, with my MP5k as a sidearm, along with two KWA G23 automatic glocks with 50 round mags. Sometimes I used my gas Mk1 carbine to snipe, which was also a really cool gun. It was extremely light and I had it upgraded to shoot 850 fps. I sold all my guns years ago though, which I sometimes kind of regret. I at least wish I had kept my KJW full metal chrome Beretta just to have. It just felt so good to hold and was really fun to shoot.

BB guns use metal pellets, which makes it easier to pierce skin. A lot of them shoot faster too. Airsoft guns use plastic BBs and most stock guns shoot anywhere from 250-350 fps, so it really doesn't hurt that much. To get an automatic airsoft gun would cost you $100-400 on average. You can get some cheap ones for around $100, but if you plan on really getting into it, then I'd recommend just getting a Classic Army or Tokyo Marui for $200-300. You can also get a good gas pistol for about $50-100 or if you really want something cheap, then you can just stick to spring guns, but you wouldn't stand a chance if you're playing with people with AEG's. Airsoft isn't very fun anyways unless you're playing with automatic guns in my opinion.
