I can't get onto RS? HELP!

It's been over a week since I've last successfully been able to even make it to the loading screen, and I have people to pay!

For some reason, every time I click 'Play now', it takes me to the game screen and just remains black.

I have done the following with no luck:

Re-installed windows
Updated/uninstalled/reinstalled drivers
Cleared cache and all of that junk
Uninstalled/reinstalled flash player/java
Used multiple browsers

I'm almost all out of ideas. I really need some suggestions.

Specs:

Anthlon 64 dual processor
nvidia 6150 geforce
1 gb ram

Have you tried 64 bit java instead of the normal download?
Did you try the runescape client downloadable from the site?

Did you open the java console / control panel during the loading to see if you're getting any errors?

 

I'm running 32 bit windows, would it make a difference? I guess I could boot a 64 bit OS but I really want to skip all of that trouble if at all possible, but I guess if it boils down to it, I'll do it.

I'll try your other suggestion in a bit and edit in my results.

 

I live in the US and downloaded the client. Are you sure you're unable to download it?

thanks for the dl link Just. Unfortunately, that didn't work either, so I'm about ready to try anything now.

 

Teamviewer me I'm sure I can figure it out.

 

Somehow installing a 64 bit OS as oppose to the 32 I was using is what fixed the problem. Strange, but it makes sense because this exact thing happened on a laptop I was using prior to this PC.
