I was scammed and I posted this http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1423372

Giddy locked thread cause he was already banned and I told him a made thread so I could give proof to busta305 so he could recover the rs acc that he sold to the scammer that I was buying. He confirmed that it was his account here http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1421632 and he told me he could recover it. Busta305 said he wouldn't do that unless he talks to a admin about it. So i need a admin to talk to him. I've talked to r2pleasent and giddy and they told me to talk to busta to get the rs acc I obviously deserve. I've wasted a lot of money and time for that acc. I have more pics if that's not enough proof and 2 days worth of chat on Skype of the trade. Plz respond ASAP and if you could contact bust305. Thank you

SHORT VERSION kinda- I basically need an Admin mine to look at http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1423372 and see that i was scammed. Then tell Giddy (who handled the thread but couldnt confirm a rs acc recover) and tell busta305 (the guy who can recover the rs account i was supposed to get) that it is ok to recover the rs acc and give it to me. Both of them said they need a admin to confirm they can proceed with this.

I know it says not to report a scam here but i reported it already in the scam report forum and didnt the help i needed cause the thread got closed

Have you tried PMing Busta with the link to this thread, and the scam thread, and explain the situation to Busta again?

I'm guessing Busta won't recover it as it would be considered scamming if he recovered an account (regardless if it's from a scammer and such). From what I can see, you are in the right and deserve the account, but I would do the same and speak to a member of upper staff (if not an admin) first before doing that if I were in his shoes.

Give Nick a PM here: http://ww2a.sythe.org/private.php?do=newpm&u=82676

Nick's reasonably active, and uses RuneScape regularly for RSGP trades and such. He would be able to point everyone in the right direction. From what I can see you are going to get the account back, it's just better safe than sorry.

    From what I understand:

Busta sold an account to Ds3buyer and Jeffery later bought the account from Ds3buyer. Ds3buyer scammed and isn't providing the account. Ds3buyer is already banned on Sythe and Busta is willing to attempt to recover/give the account to Jeffery.

If this is correct, I'm afraid having Busta recover the account would fall under "counter scamming" which isn't allow on Sythe. I know it's frustrating you were scammed, but the whole scamming the scammer makes these sort of situations even more messy and hard to understand. Rules are rules and the staff have been rather adamant on prohibiting counter scamming.

so your saying im not getting the account and the scammer gets away with my money and keeps his account? its not really scamming the scammer when he agreed to give me the account. He even told me if he scams me busta could recover it.

Well, rules are rules I'm afraid, even if people don't agree with them. It is unfortunate, but if exceptions like this were made, then people would be expected to receive exceptions for them also. The only way I see you could get the account back now, is if the scammer gave it back, but that is unlikely, however you are free to attempt contact with him to try this.

It's unfortunate what happened, the best advice I can offer for the future is to only buy/sell RS accounts from trusted users. However, any RS account can be recovered at the end of the day.

Sorry for your loss, and be thankful it wasn't a lot more.

Other staff members have talked to me regarding the case and argue that it may not be counterscamming as you have a claim to the account. It would be different if Ds3 wasn't already paid for the account, but he was, and therefore you may have a claim.

Either way we've made a discussion in the staff lounge and we'll get back to you within a couple days regarding the outcome.

EDIT: This was being typed while the above posts occurred, refer to this if worst comes to worst. Don't get your hopes up though, you may win this or you may not. Either way, always use caution in the future.

There's no need to leave the site over something like this, I know what it feels like to be scammed. Whether you choose to stay or not, you have at least learned a lesson for the future that you'll know to be more cautious in the future when trading. People in the past have been scammed much more than $180 in the past, some have even gotten angry and scammed themselves in order to get their money back (not that you should ever do that).

Overtime, you'll make the money back again, but this time you'll be smarter when doing trades and you'll know to trade with trusted people and when to use caution when trading.

Again, it is up to you if you wish to leave or not, but whether you choose to or not, you can at least say you have come out with a bit more experience in trading rather than nothing but grief.

This was an unfortunate circumstance in which jeffy purchased 7.5M Diablo 3 Gold from our website, which he had delivered to the scammer. At the time of purchase, jeffy made no mention that the account he requested for delivery was not his own. I delivered it myself.

The scammer then told jeffy that he never received the 7.5M. This frustrated me, because I thought jeffy was trying to screw with me (he still hadn't mentioned he wasn't the one receiving the gold). In my mind, it was just some kid being an idiot after delivery.

Eventually I realized what was going on and figured out that jeffy paid for someone else's gold, who was scamming him. I told jeffy to invite the guy and I'd see if I could trick him into giving me some direct info on the trade. I'm a busy guy though, and things took forever, so I just basically decided to stop putting effort into the situation. Jeffy shouldn't have been so careless during the trade quite frankly, and should have given me the information beforehand if he wanted my assistance.

At this point, there's nothing anybody can do. Yes, if you go first to scammers, you will get scammed. If you have really lost $1300 up until today on multiple scams, and still have not learned to trade safely, you should quit. You've proven that you are not capable of keeping yourself safe. To continue trading after such consistent failure is foolish.

I lost that money in about 2 trades a year ago. I was new to trading and just wanted a good rs acc because i lost mine. Then a year from then (3 days ago) I started playing rs and decided i wanted to try and get a good rs acc again. Me and the scammer talked alot (about 2 day) and i became friends with him and also talked alot about stuff unrelated to the trade. I was trying to be nice and didnt assume he was trying to scam me until after when i had proof of it. He didnt just scam me with the gold but also the 2 D3 keys that he convinced to me that didnt work. You are write R2pleasent i shouldnt keep trading because i am not good at trading safely. But i need this rs account for i am afraid if i dont then the same thing will probably happen again because i will become desperate for a RS account and do anything to get one and i will try to trade and get scammed again. I also love the game obviously!
