    What is a reasonable amount of muscle possible to gain in 3 months??

    I will post links to what i look like right now, incase they dont work for someone for any reason these are my stats

    5'9
    140lbs
    Athletic.
    Arms are only about... 11'-12'
    Im just going to allow you to see the album, 1 is a before picture (chubbbby) and one is a current picture...

    the problem is, my chest and arms arnt big enough in my opinon... so im wondering.. how much size can i put on in 3 months.

    I would like opinons on how many inches on my arms i can gain.

    Im not looking for like "1-3lbs of muscle." because yes im aware that to gain pure muscle will take time. thats why its not going to be all muscle.. just mostly... so give some good estimates guys :D

    You should really be able to gain 1 pound a week, and if you made it a lean or "clean" bulk it would minimize the fat gain. You need to build up some weight (Bulk) then once you get to where you want you need to cut. Cutting is losing the fat you gained from bulking while keeping the most muscle possible. A safe cut will be about 1 lb per week, just like a good bulk.

    This, assuming Meeder means 1 pound a week total (fat+muscle combined). Even on steroids it is impossible to gain a pound of pure muscle a week.

    As he said you just cycle. It looks like you cut from what you were previously (good job), but now its time for you to bulk back up. The goal is to bulk and then cut, revealing more muscle then you had at the start.

    No one can tell you how much muscle you will gain in a given time because their are a whole bunch of factors in play:

    • Do you push yourself?
    • Do you eat clean?
    • Do you stricly follow macronutrient needs?
    • Previous training (lost muscle comes back faster).
    • Genetics.

    Completely wrong, and ill give an example.

    My friend from school started working out... found it hard to gain anything...
    He decided to cheat.. and go on a 6 WEEK Cycle.. eating 1 dozen eggs, 2 tins of tuna, chicken, pasta, and protein shakes... + extra food, he didn't specify everything...

    He was about 11stone 12 ?
    withing the coarse of his 6 week cycle he was 13 stone 8....

    Now- disbelive me if you want. but he was scrawny as hell...

    obviously he lost some of this! but i can garuntee he easily gained 1 pound a week pure muscle... as a beginner, gains are easier... he's still skinny.. not fat.. very defined,

    id like to see your evidence for thie kmjt, anyone can read something of a forum.. doesn't mean it's always fact!

    So your friend put on almost 40 pounds in 6 weeks and you portray him as skinny and defined? If that is true and no offence to him, but that is a horrible bulk. If he really gained 40 pounds in 6 weeks he definitely put on a lot of fat.

    ill break it down for you...

    11stone 8 = 162 pounds
    13 stone 12 = 190 pounds

    190 - 162 = 28 pounds...

    within 6 weeks.

    Also i did not say he was skinny and defined at the end of his cycle... i said he is now defined he lost around 13 pounds after pct.

    so 28 - 13 = 15 pounds. lean muscle

    In order to gain muscle in your chest and arms you need to put wait on, but not garbage weight. I am talking ab protein and lots of it. Aslo stop doing high reps, high reps only get you cut and honestly is a waste of time if your trying to get stronger. So in order to get bigger and stronger, take in more protein and lift heavy weights with low reps (8,5,3) moving up in weight each set.

    - I don't understand where people get all these miss-conceptions from.

    1. reps of 3-6 = Strength gains..
    2. 12+ = stamina/muscular endurance! this won't make you ripped... just increase muscular endurance.
    3. 8 - 12 = size

    edurance -> Size -> strength
    12+ > 8 > 1

    4.. theres no such thing as Ab Protein...

    My suggestion... train with 8 reps for large muscles (lats, pecs, shoulders..) / 12 reps for smaller muscles.

    you can pyramid. lower weight.. 12 reps, higher it 10 reps, higher it 8 reps.

    Use compounds then isolations

    You don't need weight to get bigger... it's helpful.

    15/6 = 2.5

    Claiming your friend gained 2.5 pounds of lean muscle per week for 6 weeks is outrageous and laughable.

    why would i lie. I have witnessed this. I'm posting as a insight. as previously mentioned.. i said 1 stone without steroids over the coarse of 3 month IS Quite easily achievable for a starter.

    May i ask what your knowlege is ?

    Now what's your experience? looking on the internet is not 1st hand knowledge.

    I could care less what your signature says; I disregarded any credentials you have because the majority of what you say is just not feasible.

    You claim someone can sustain a gain of 2.5 pounds pure muscle per week for 3 months. Not possible.

    You claim someone can sustain a gain of slightly over 1 pound of pure muscle per week natural. Not possible.

    My credentials? None. But I view bodybuilding forums enough to know. I take the word of competitors who use over someone with "insight from his friend".

    Do you even know what 32 pounds of pure muscle even looks like? Even 14 pounds of pure muscle?

    I don't know what your perception of what 28 pounds of PURE muscle is but that is not 28 pounds of pure muscle. Your friend's body isn't even somewhat striated. Just from looking at his arms I can tell there is a lot of mass but also fat. Post legitimate bodybuilding pictures for better evaluation.

    What does listing your supplements have to do with proving what you gained is pure muscle? We both now creatine monohydrate makes you look and weigh more; retained water.

    And 14 inch biceps really? Lol this you?

    2. due to me moving town, i regually go back every weekend. Some girls generally think ive started roids. + cant even count on both hands and feet the amount of compliments ive had

    Also i said 15pound pure muscle. i am not this size. and i have gained well over a a stone. maybe not 100% lean but pretty close

    p.s creatine was a supplement i used in april - may. all water will have been lost by then

    my bicep is actually 14.5 - without a pump - measured today just for you

    straited was definately not the right word to use, look at his arms for one.. easily grew a a fair few inch? its safe to say well over a stone there!

    I don't get it. You link me to something where everyone basically is agreeing with what i'm telling you. The OP asked how much weight he would gain, not how much pure muscle. Those who are telling him how much pure muscle he would gain are estimating around 10 pounds in 12 weeks. The person claiming they gained 38 pounds and "didn't gain fat" is full of bullshit and was called out on the second page. You should actually read what the posts say lol.

    And the size of your friend's arms has nothing to do with striation. If he barely gained any fat and added 28 pounds of pure muscle you would definitely see striations on his body, but you don't. Which is why he did gain fat. Otherwise his bf% would be extremely low and you would see striations..

    also there are reports of 28 ect... far more than one person post 25+
