I don't know if I'm correct but I'm pretty sure that a desktop worth $600 would run more bots then a laptop that's worth $600.

    you think so?

i looked up some desktops and 600$ ones did not seem to have much more GHz than laptops i have seen for the same price. though i am not a computer expert so idk completely what other components go into determining the best candidate for efficient botting

Laptops are also disposable, etc. In my opinion laptops are rubbish unless you REALLY need some mobility. Purchase a desktop.. Even if it has to be AMD it'll still last longer than a laptop :p Especially if your stressing it with CPU/RAM from bots. You, and everyone else botting on a laptop need to keep in mind that your decreasing the life of your laptop by running ~4+ Bots on it. Heat is and always be a laptops worst enemy.

A desktop. People really need to understand that laptops are nothing when it comes to raw power and performance.

I would go with a desktop for sure. A ton of people are about to say build your own which is true and should always be a first option but if you dont know how or want to take the time, I am sure we could help you find a good desktop for 600$

I'd get a desktop for botting, but if you absolutely need a laptop, that's fine too. ghz doesn't ncessarily matter, as I noticed you referenced it in your earlier post.

I can verify, as an owner.

    i appreciate all the replies!!

the reason i need a laptop so bad is because i need one for school anyway.

so i cant really afford to have a laptop AND a desktop ...as much as i wish i could.

but lets say i do get a desktop....

lets hear some suggestions on desktops for around $600...the best desktop around that price for running multiple bots efficiently..

    go!

    isnt this like $1000+? xD

thats way out of my league sadly

yes i do have a lot to learn. ]

however i have a computer science major who has told me that GHz is what i need to run many bots because that is CPU and so the higher GHz i have the more bots i can run....

Yeah, it doesn't mean he knows what he's doing. There's much more to a cpu than ghz and anyone who tells you otherwise or that it's the only important thing is retarded. Do you want examples? Cuz I can give them.

chill with the insults. anyways, if you would like to tell me what is important for running bots, etc. go for it. you keep saying this and that is wrong but you have not said what is right. so how about you enlighten me with your knowledge rather than insult mine or my friend's.

What is important? Well, the biggest factor is the core architecture, I'd think. You'll get much better performance out of a Sandy Bridge than a Clarkdale or Gulftown. The amount of cores is pretty important too. A dual core Sandy Bridge will generally outperform a single-core Sandy Bridge. The operating frequency(ghz) can make a difference too. A dual core Sandy Bridge at 3ghz will perform better than the same processor at 2ghz. 50% better since it's a 50% increase in frequency? No. Hyperthreading can also make a difference if you're running bots. Huge difference? Not likely.

There's a little bit of info. There's no one specific factor that makes one processor better than another, but a combination of many. You could literally fill a book with every little detail about how processors work and what makes some better than others. I'm sorry you view my posts as insulting, but I also know a lot of people do not like to be told when they do not know what they're talking about.
