I'm just curious, I'm not banned on either site, look me up: Oceans is my powerbot name. I haven't been very active on there this year though.

So I guess, the question is. People that get banned on sythe should be banned on powerbot and vice versa in my opinion, what's your thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that if someone scams on another site and there is proof that it's them, then they can also be banned on Sythe. Same goes for being a member of a hacking forum. That's why it's always good to google someone's MSN before trading with them.

Ummm, a scammer is a scammer - regardless of whether or not they're banned from forum A or forum B.

That's like getting a fat record in Arizona and expecting it to just blemish away when you move to Wisconsin. It doesn't happen that way, you should be held accountable for all the wrongdoings you've done, anywhere. Doesn't always mean you'll be banned right away, either. You'd find that the staff can be very forgiving if you show that you are an actual prominent member. But I think hiding a past makes a person still just as guilty. But you know, it's never to late to come clean and turn things around.

If there is proof that someone was banned on another forum for scamming, hacking, phising, etc, then they can be banned here as well. If you just broke rules and annoyed the mods at powerbot to receive a ban, then I do not think that results in a ban here.

Looks like a good idea. It would cut down on potential collateral damage done to the community when someone decides to switch which side their on.

it depends on what they get banned for tbh... like if its for something like a build up of infractions den that would be dumb to get banned on another forums

Once a scammer, being on a different site won't change them.

It's relatively easy to decipher those people as long as you do your research.

I agree with Sythe current rule in disallowing people who are Malicious anywhere on the internet to be a part of the site. It's pretty much the same thing. I can't see this rule ever changing either.

    Perfect analogy.

There is also national communities ie. the Dutch or Finnish Runescape/blackmarket communities. People scam in such communities first, ie. sell and recover an account. They get banned there. Then they come to Sythe, where nobody knows them and uses the same account to scam again. Then they go to Powerbot etc etc...

If you were banned for scamming on Powerbot then naturally you would be banned here, it's pretty likely that the user would scam again. However if you are only banned on Powerbot for spamming/being disruptive or something non malicious then you shouldn't be banned here. The best thing you can do is stay well behaved on both sites and you shouldn't get any problems about off-site scamming.

It depends on what the ban is for. Off site scamming = yes, off site spamming = no.

If you scam on Powerbot, then you should be banned on here. Because you are a risk to the site as you have scammed before so you will no doubt scam again if you get cleaned or just want to get some quick RSGP.

If you scam on powerbot you will be banned on Sythe, but whether pB bans Sythe scammers is their responsibility.
