Hi, A few questions about rares (not party hats, not that rich) that I've been wondering about: Why have they dropped/are currently dropping? Will they keep dropping in the near future? Would a rare be a good investment for a few months (if so, which one?). Thanks in advance for any input given.
Rares have been dropping lately, but if you look at the charts they are good for long term investment due to they are being lost in different ways and more aren't being introduced into the game.
Discontinued items will always be a good investment. For the most part, if you buy one and hold on to it, it will raise in price. I would buy a santa hat now and save it untill around Christmas when they go up to 130-140m (108m currently)
Rares aren't a good short term investment. If you want to buy a rare and quit RS for a year or two you will make money because there is a limited supply of that item in the game and the price always goes up. Investing short term in a rare isn't a good idea because they fluctuate rather wildly.
Rares are constantly fluctuating, with the slow term increase. You can flip them if you are very careful, but if you are new to flipping I wouldn't recommend it.
