Squeal of fortune: decadence for the value of skills?

So the highly degraded SOF update happened on what the 3rd? As if the armor updates, storm of arma, gano, lag, refer a friend, loyalty points weren't bad enough.

But this post isn't about being nihilistic. I'm concerened about the logic of buying SQOF points for exp. That's not to say that I'm going to do it; just bemused at the idea.

So if it costs about $1100 for 10m exp, and concerning that the demographic for RS is mostly 16 year old boys, I think we can rule out that a lot of people will buy spins. $1100 isn't a huge amount of money, but it's enough to realize that RS is just not that important.

However, the rich are exploiting the system. Starrychelyx got 1.9m slayer exp off his SQOF spins a few days ago. Suomi, Stokenut, and more are following suit.

If people are going to buy skills, the value of skills will certainly deprecate- right? And so is there any point to buy spins if the skills you want maxed out have no value? It just seems like, off a logical standpoint rather than moral, a waste of money. Is there any feeling of consummation when you don't train the skills? After all, that is how Jagex kept us members for so long; they made the lv 99 a reflection of long hours of patience.

If you have bought a bulk amount of SQOF points, please respond by letting me know what you used the exp on, are you happy with the results, etc. Others: is RS going to recover from this 1?

On a brighter side, atleast JAgex is clearly dying if they're this desperate

 

Guys, don't buy shit off the squeal wheel.

First of all - the amount you pay for one or two 99's can buy you a maxed account here, on sythe.

Secondly - any 99 you buy is CLEARLY support to jagex and the investors - don't do it.

Buying off here rather than off jagex is clearly a better idea anyway, and anyone in their right mind would.

OT: i agree that buying skills is stupid but if the stupid ppl wanna buy skills then let them. Atleast it supports smarter people

 

Imo, with bots returning, you don't need to buy spins, just leave a bot running overnight. And it's not worth it buying a lot of spins to make a summoning pure or something. The amount of irl $$$ you would get for making a pure just from SOF spins would be at a loss.

in all honesty, i thought the of update was neat, and i liked it, but the micro transaction they implemented contradicts everything they've been saying, but you must also realise that the game was sold out, and the original people that made this game great, really have no ay in the games future anymore.

 

Why would anyone buy tickets to spin a wheel. Your chances of getting rare prize are slim to none anyways. Save your money.

Suomi didn't buy spins fuck off. He did the video as a troll stop hating. Seems to be just a smear campaign. Also, I bought a ton of spins to get a rare items still yet to get on.

 

It's just stupid to buy that shit and fail for jagex money stealing shit.
For half of that amount you can get a trusted skiller here lvl any 99 for you, or you could buy an account from a very trusted member with the skills you're looking for.
