55-70 Crafting & 52-70 Smithing, what to do?

Hey guys, well at Bonus EXP weekend I am looking to go for Voids Stares Back Requirements and I'll be needing 70 Crafting and 70 Smithing. I'm wondering what are the best methods are for these two? I've been looking at a few guides but they seems to be too much on offer to do

I don't want anything uber expensive and not something cheap which would take ages, so if you guys can leave me some tips it'd be greatly appreciate. I don't mind spending cash but not loads if it isn't necessary.

I just got these requirements and the two most effective ways of training are:

Crafting:
To get to 57 cut sapphires. It's expensive but it's only two levels and it's the fastest form of training crafting.
- Green d'hide vambraces
- Green d'hide chaps
- Green d'hide bodies
This will take you all the way from 57-70. Buy a needle, 2k thread, and as much green dragonleather. This costs around 10gp/experience point (less in bonus weekend).

Smithing:
Smith gold bars in the edgeville furnace with goldsmith gauntlets on. It's cheap and semi-afkable because it's pretty slow. I'd recommend using the 2.7x exp bonus on this to make it faster.

 

Crafting do green d'hide bodies with a scared clay need to save money and for smithing do Steel platebodies with a scared clay hammer again to save money.

 

Neither 70 crafting or smithing is to expensive. When I was training smithing on my rune pure I used the artisan's workshop (cost effective + fast exp)

Here is the guide I used :



For crafting I did a combination of green dragonhide items + cutting gems. Since the bot nuke the prices of these materials have rised so it's not really worth training with them. Right now if I we're you I would do,

1-28 soft leather armor (452 soft leather)

28-57 hard leather armor (5499 hard leather)

46+ continue on with glassblowing (bit expensive) but will average you 80k exp/hr.

66+ start making air battestaves, I'm not 100% sure of the current price, but they will average you 250k exp/hr.

^ Not sure of the current prices of those methods, but they are much cheaper than training with gems/dhide.

 

For the crafting part I would make battlestaffs. They're really fast and cheap only problem with these is that you can only buy a limited amount in the GE you might have to ask some friends

 

i remember getting the reqs for korasi over bonus exp weekend [ the last one] I just did the most expensive stuff, plates for smithing, best planks for con, gems for crafting... in the end you will get it faster and i rmemeber in all it cost from 6-10m at that time... remember the faster you get the level the less bonus xp time you waste

 

For crafting, do Green d'hides and if you want to make cash for smithing do cannonballs.

 

55-70= smith jewelry, then change at 63 to green d hide bodies.
52-70= smelt gold bars with gold gauntlets.

 

For smithing, superheating gold ore is a fantastic way to get to 70 smithing. Make sure you use goldsmith gauntlets! Its twice as fast as regular smithing, you get amazing exp, and you level your magic as well (assuming your not already 99 magic).

As for crafting, cutting gems, making jewellry, or making leather materials out of hides (both regular hides & dragon hides), are by the far the fastest method of training. With bonus exp, the amount of money you will save will completely be worth training via an expensive method like green dragonhide bodies, etc.
