    im a computer novice guys i was wondering why when i play in software on bad details i lagg and get terrible fps

    yet when i play on open gl and direct x i get about 34-40fps on HIGHEST graphics and it runs amazing

    also what 1 should i use?

    sorry for being a novice on computers just weird because i expected my laptop to fail at open gl or direct x on good graphics but it runs better o.o

    how do i check my laptops specs so i can see if there to old and i should upgrade im using a toshiba satellite p300 was 890£ 2-3years ago

    yea man thats my laptop :) is it still "good"? and ill do opengl then man on highest detail

    thanks hopefully you can tell me if i should improve any of the specs?

    and do you run your rs on highest detail? and should i use "cpu usage" maxiumum on the rs menu/

    You can't really upgrade laptops to be honest, you can the upgrade the RAM easy but the graphics card and processor are either really difficult to upgrade, or are fused in to the laptop.

    Yep, my PC can handle RS on max easy. And yeah, use CPU usage can stay on max, that way RS will use all the processing power it needs rather than limiting it.

    The laptop isn't really good anymore. Anything with an "i" series processor such as an i5 is considered "okay-good," enough to run RuneScape on highest details. Try running with CPU usage on maximum.

    thanks alot guys for your help it still run smooth like on max details i can always tweek them abit

    think i can get a good laptopfor about 600-900£? well better then my current one

    Yeah you can get a very good laptop for £600-£900, although I should mention desktops are better for gaming these days.
