I was thinking, in the wilderness, if you drain your summoning points, does your combat level drop? Also, for example if your combat was 70+7, can you attack level 70's in level 1 wilderness? Thankyou.

Your combat level isn't altered by summoning in the wilderness unless you have a familiar summoned.

So in theory, it's like having 1 summoning if you don't have a familiar summoned?

Say if im level 70 + 6 and i summon a monster and im in a multicombat zone. Im going to be level 76 and can attack level 76'ers. If i dismiss my familar or go into a non-multi zone, i will be able to attack level 70's.

    Ok, thankyou, you've reaffirmed it.

If you mean out of wilderness, that's the problem. Say to want to stake your levels, they're going to have higher combat stats. Thankyou for the answers :)

I thought that even if you have a familiar summoned and you are 70+6 combat, you can still attack level 70s in lvl1 wild? Or was that changed?

I know if you pot and your combat goes up, you can still attack people who are your original combat level in level 1 wilderness.

How does your combat change from potting and what would that even have to do with anything?

Say you are combat level 70, and you use every super potion, you are going to have alot higher levels, so your combat increases, but you can still attack people who are your original combat level. So this is why I thought it might happen with summoning.

I'm 100% sure. Your summoning level is added to your regular level, such as 100+6. The 6 would come into effect if you summoned a familiar, otherwise it doesn't effect it. It effects staking however.

Does that mean, if you were in a fight and then you summoned a monster, would you not be able to attack the other player because your combat level has gone up? Thankyou for all the answers by the way :)

    1. Your combat level doesn't go up when you pot

    2. Summoning only affects combat outside of the wilderness now, it's not like when there were PvP worlds and you had a summon you stayed the same level.

Now when you go into the wilderness REGARDLESS if you have a summon or not, your combat will drop to XX+XX, take me for example, I'm a maxed put with 88 summoning, in the wilderness I'm 89+11, the +11 has no affect on my combat other than people knowing I have a high summon level.

Good question, i think your combat would go up and the fight would stop.
