Animal cruelty

Personally I think that anyone committing animal cruelty deserves a harsh punishment. We are animals too. People torture animals so they should be tortured too.

 

Torturing them would do absolutly nothing. You say its wrong so why would you do it to another animal (person)? I do agree with harsher punishments though. I hate, i mean FUCKEN hate when i see a dog that gets abused. All a dog does is want to love you, and there to much of a bitch to try anything on something that has a fighting chance like a human.

But what you want to do as a punishment is incorrect. Karma is its own bitch, it does what it wants it will find something equal or worst to unload on slimmy bastards like thoose. Harsher punishments and things like "no bail" would stop things like this, basicly forceing thoose who do to serve some sort of jail time even if they arent convicted.

 

How do you feel when someone swats a fly? What about when someone commits mass genocide of bacteria by rubbing hand sanitizer on their hands?

 

They don't have the same nervous system as 'animals'. Pain isn't the same to them. Plus, what you described isn't torture.

 

It is wrong to mistreat animals, but, then again, the life of an non-human animal is not considered as important or significant. Therefore, to say that torturing an non human animal is the same as torturing a person is untrue.

 

Actually, it's not uncommon to read about someone being indicted on animal cruelty charges. Of course, it's hard to find those people because animals can't really report anything to the police.

 

Animals don't equal humans, but people shouldn't torture animals, tho

I honestly think feel worse to hear about, lets say, a dog being tortured by his owner rather than a woman being beat by his husband, for two main reasons:

1. The dog is 100% helpless. He cannot do ANYTHING about his predicament.
2. The dog builds on nothing but trust, once you break that trust in certain ways, they lose their innocence and are never the same around ANY human.

 

Yup... people deserve worse than prison sentences, I mean what kinda punishment is free food, shelter ect. Death sentence to such disgusting people pl0x!

 

I know of a person who makes his way into dogfighting rings and then reports them to the police. Risky business but hes actually working his way up to the upper class dogfighting rings

 

The dog might be helpless in some cases, but why don't we switch up the scenario, and see what you say.

Do you feel worse when your dog (or some random dog) is being tortured, or when you own Mother is being beat?

who's to say that the woman does not lose her trust with future men/husbands?

It's rare for people to get the death sentence when they kill a HUMAN. Why should they get the death sentence for killing, or much less, torturing a dog.

 

Neither do I think people should be sentenced to death if they tortured animals

I have a conflicting standpoint on this. While I believe it should not be done, it, in no way, equals torturing a human.

A human is capable of coherent, independent thought. An animal isn't. Quite honestly, that is close to all that sets us apart from them. I do not think animals should be abused, but at the same time, I do not think that people who abuse one animal should be jailed for life.

 

Most Dogs are not even close to 100%. Dogs are Carnivores and are built to kill. Their teeth can tear through human flesh and they are plenty times faster then humans. Most dogs can kill humans without a problem, but it's their choice to stop the attack.

 

Yeah, i agree, they are animals too, they deserve rights, not the same as us because we need to know what is rational and what's not, but if people do anything bad to them, i think they would deserve a punishment, when people hurt like little cats and dogs, it make me very mad, and when i see someone abandoning a pet only because they don't have anyone to leave them when they go on vacation,ahhhh i want to kill them, why the hell would you take of an pet if you will abandon him later..don't make any sense.

 

Jail time is fine, it depends what they did. I mean, If I hit my dog with a car backing out of the driveway, should I then be hit with a car? nahh.
