Which Type of Void?

Right now i'm going about getting void, but i'm not sure which type to get. I'm stuck between melee and ranged, as i don't really think mage would be beneficial to me. Any suggestions, and why? Thanks!

Uh it's just the helms that you have to change. They don't take long to get anyway, get all of them.

 

Yeah if you have one set, you might as well get both. However, I personally think that the melee one is mostly useless. If you want to train combat with a damage boost, just train with Slayer.

 

It all matters about your stats. If you are range based, get the range set. If you are melee based, get melee set. But, I suggest you get all the sets, as you only need to get the top, bottom, and gloves once.

 

80 attack, 87 strength, 45 defense, 77 ranged, 94 mage, 52 prayer 82 hp.
and that is true, i guess they don't take long, so, might as well get them all.

Range is the only one really worth getting. Just wear zerker gear for melee.

 

ranged -> melee -> mage

ranged is the only one which isn't plain worse than other armor (unless you're 42 def).. bandos is a lot better than void melee and ahrim's is a lot better than void mage

 

One last question.. Does elite void robe top work with the rest of the set being regular void? i can't be bothered getting extra points to turn it all elite, unless it's really THAT good.

LOl just get them all. Me being almost maxed though I don't really use it. I feel as though full bandos > fury > steads > Dragon defender/Dfs > Neitiznot > barrows gloves is gonna do me a hell of a lot better with my rapier then it will with void

 

yeah.. don't get melee. learned the hard way. got ranged, then finally got melee. come to find out after i calculate it, i hit almost 20 points higher in my regular zerker gear than in melee. it's a waste of 200 points.

 

Ranged is worth it. I'm a ranged tank and I absolutely love my ranged void. Try getting the deflector instead of the robe top as I prefer using a ACP along with my full void.

 

Ranged is great for training at yaks etc in general. Mage is alright with polypore at barrows etc, and melee is fairly useless (do barb assault for the fighters hat and torso).

 

Ranged is probably most useful. Helps alot in training.

 

I Suggest just getting them all, the games are fast & easy.

Just get all of them man.

Each set of void requires the same robe top, robe bottom, and gloves. The only item which defines the set and determines the bonuses, is the helmet. So if you get the magic, ranged, AND melee helm (plus the default robe top, bottom, gloves) then you will have all 3 sets of void and can switch between helmets depending on what type of activity you want to do.

Also, to add to this:

To turn your set into "Elite" void, you have to get upgrade both the robe top AND bottoms for it to work. However, you get a free Elite Void tobe top by doing the quest The Void Stares Back, and then all you have to do is get the 150-200 points or w/e it costs to upgrade the other piece. Elite void is very worth it IMO. Good bonuses for very little work.
