Graphics?

Hey guys,

im kinda confused. I got a new laptop recently. However it's being repaired so i can't use it's graphics card.

My question was... What do i set the graphics settings to for it to look top notch.

I keep seeing there videos and runescape looks amazing. Currently im on my parents inspiron 15z. With runescape on directx everything on high.

And the games looks shitty compared to peoples videos and such... The anti-alaising is working no doubt. But the lustourousness of object dosent seem to show. Like on bandos and dragon boots.

Just wondering what i need to set my stuff to, to make runescape look like they portray it to be.

Turn all the high-detail options on,
maximum CP usage,
and screen size to full.

 

going it... It looks GOOD. But not FANTASTIC. Whats the difference between directx, opengl, and software?

What im saying is... is that it still dosent look fantastic like in jagex's videos. With all the fantastic lighting and shading.

 

Never really looks like that , Even with the toppest specs i can get still getting shit fps and grey areas and all that shit

 

that sucks.... i was looking forward to looking at masterful graphics with my new laptop... Guess im gonna have to put up with it.

 

If you are looking for good graphics look outside. This is Runescape, not some epic game renowned for spectacular looks.

 

Post a scrennie, maybe you could do something to make the game look better. For other special effects, you could turn on "bloom" in the options to make spells and fires look extra bright and awesome, but some places like the fairy city look nuked. If you are playing in fixed mode, you could turn anti-analising to 2x or 4x to smooth the corners.

As for settings, directx with all settings on at least high should get it to where you want. If your graphics card is decent enough (shouldn't be difficult).
