Need help badly with PayPal problem!!

Hello recently I got scammed by an imposter. The man told me to send the payment as a gift and then when I did he logged. I'm trying to get my money back but it's so much harder because it's sent as a gIft. Does anyone know how to chargeback a gift on PayPal. Also the PayPal paid through my credit card. Please help me. It's all the money I got for Christmas and I know I am stupid.

 

You call your credit card company and just tell them to chargeback the paypal payment

 

You'd have to tell your credit card that the payment was unauthorized. They'll cancel your card and you'll get refunded eventually.

 

Are they going to ask me why I am charging back? And if so should I say I was scammed for runescape money?

 

Just say it was unauthorized, and that the person didn't deliver what they promised.

 

Ok and just wondering will I be banned or my acc terminated by PayPal?

 

You would only say it was unauthorized, you wouldn't say the person didnt deliver if it was an unauthorized payment.
However, I don't think you'll get your money back if you used your normal IP because PayPal will check, if its your normal IP, they'll know your lying about the unauthorized payment.
