Possibly, if the IP change is drastic (ie. a different country). It's also likely that they'll check pmod accounts more closely than other accounts too. They'll lock the account and ask for recoveries/other proof.

No they won't tell, just don't post on the forums/send in queries/report/etc. for a month or so

They won't notice, if you don't login for like 2 weeks.

The downside to this is if the orig owner sees that he's not using it he may try to recover it.

Normally I don't think it would be that big of a deal, but I'm sure that Jagex watches P-mod accounts much closer, and its more likely that the account will be locked immediately when they discover a drastic IP change.

Ask the guy selling the account where he lives, and maybe if he doesn't live too far away, try to stage a "move". Like, you buy the account but don't log in for a 3-5 days, then all of a sudden you log in on a new IP and start playing daily. That way if they lock the account, you can claim that you "moved" over days "x" and "y" from where the original owner is from, to where your IP is now located.

^ That idea may be stupid and might not work but meh, anything is worth a try.

I have dealt with selling player moderator accounts in the past, the original owner of the account simply must post on the moderator forums informing Jagex that they are moving countries/places, as long as Jagex are well informed about the moving and change of IP, they will not suspect anything.

Pretty much what Zerkerfist said. I change countries pretty frequently, and I have never been bothered by Jagex to validate if I am the owner of my account.

He said "like 2 weeks", which most would interpret as about 2 weeks, but anyways I don't know where that is comming from. Most pmods I know would send a message to Jagex about an IP change, there's really no telling if you'll be caught.

I've dealt with a few accounts where I've logged straight in right after the seller in another country and it hasn't been locked. But since its a PMOD account Jagex would probably look a little closer so don't log into it for a week or so and just lay low.

IP is vital and essential to recovering/proving you are the owner of an account.

When was the last time you worried about recovering your main you made on the same computer, house, etc? Exactly.
