Buying A Good Laser Pointer

You guys know what im talking bout. aka the things used in powerpoint presentations. I dont know what kind of physical store to purchase one at, so I am hoping someone on Sythe has one, or can tell me where to buy one at. looking for a strong light that you can still see at a far distance not one of those cheap key ring ones. you can reply on this thread/pm/msn me if you have one or know what store i can buy one from. can pay PP or RSGP (whatever one you prefer). thanks.

 

There are plenty of laser pointers on Amazon.com,and they are not expensive.I prefer laser dazzler on this website.

There are lots of strange shops that sell this sort of stuff if you live in a city in the Uk also check amazon and ebay as said above

Red/green/violet/blue lasers, how big should the output be ?

Before buying a laser, you should read up on the laws regarding lasers in your country or else it will most likely be confiscated at customs.

 

im primarily looking for a red-light laser and as for the output size i dont know; about the size of the hole you can plug in headphones into an ipod? idk though and output size doesnt really matter for me.


as for the laws regarding lasers, i think in the United States, specifically California, they are permitted? (I havent researched, that is just my guess) But....its not like im gonna be pointing them at airplanes or taking one on a plane with me lol. i just really need it for my astronomy class where we will have to be pointing out/identifying certain constellations.
