[RiD] Having problems? Look here!

Most of you will know about Robotz in Disguise (RiD), The undetectable bot for runescape.

Well as other botting sites have been stopped and we remain to be the only one standing so to say we've been targeted for a couple of attacks.

In the past 24 hours we've been subject to 2 DDoS attacks which we have only just come out of.

If you've been trying to access the site in the past 24 hours we are aware that you will of been having trouble. At the moment we have resolved the problem and the attacks will not be happening again as the site has been updated DNS wise.

If you are still currently unable to access the site ( We know we're having trouble with Norweigen ip's) Then here are a few things you can do:

1) Wait 12-24 hours for your DNS to resolve itself.

2) Flush your DNS manually - this can be done by doing the following:

3) Clear your cache, this can be done very easily and so i'm sure you can use google to work that one out

4) Finally you can try unplugging your router/modem doe 10 seconds and plugging it back in.

If you do have anymore problems accessing Robotzindisguise.com then please feel free to post here and i will try to help you out.

Lol. Bot website gang wars. Doing drive by DDoS attacks.

 

This made me smile, because it's true. Fighting among the bot sites; it's funny how the dynamic between the sites work.

 

If I remember Arbiter correctly (the guy from RSBuddy) he would do something that low. If iBot is still around then I would primarily suspect them as I know some of those guys from awhile back. Lol, Ive been offered to work on those bots but I honestly don't care about that kind of stuff anymore.

 

It's a bit silly really, not sure why people would want to try and bring down one of the few remaining bots. Seems like jealousy at its finest especially considering we've never reacted or attacked any other bots. It also seems like there's another DDoS at the moment, as I still can't connect after trying everything I can think of.

 

I hear iBot or NeXus or whatever is that low, and I heard rumors of Arbiter being that low. I would probably suspect it more of NeXuS though, they seem kind of vindictive.

 

A bot site will take out another bot site if their revenue is threatened. Like say if Runescape is updated and Bot A does not work but Bot B does. Bot A team decides to DDoS Bot B's website so their customers can not switch to Bot B while Bot A is being updated.

 

It's interesting, because they're not DDoSing the bots themselves, just the forums, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's kind of like a 'hey dont go there look their website sucks, we're fixing our bots so stay here' approach, just to keep someone from losing members. I wouldn't accuse anyone because I really don't know enough about it and I don't want to get more people pissed off with RiD. But yeah, we don't react to any of this, we just take it on the chin and look at it as someone being pissed off because the bots at RiD are better.

Even if you don't think they are, gotta admit RiD must be doing something right to get people pissed like this.

Yeah that's basically what I thought Terran, it's just a shame really that bot A is so desperate that they wont let people find a working bot themselves.

 

strange, the DDoS is affecting the bot too actually, unless you are already logged into the GUI you can't login because the forums server is down :/

 

If you are in the US the bot will not be working since that is the server that is being affected by the DDoS (same server that the forums are hosted on). If you are in the UK/Asia/Australia you should be able to log in and bot.


It is sad to see people taking out their frustration on RiD, we have never encouraged stooping so low as to DDoS another site nor have we provoked this kind of behavior.

When worst comes to worst people show their true colors, and from this we can gather that whoever is targeting us is an angry person with the mental capacity to deal with anger being that of a 9 year old child.

The site just went down again due to another DDoS, should be up shortly I believe.

 

this is terrible lol 400k from 96 con, legitted 75-95 and im done with it now, was going to use con bot for 99 and if i like the style of the bot was gonna invest in some hours :|

 

Maybe its Fagex DDoSing RiD because all the RiD shitheads were advertising on the forums haha.

 

Except that DDoSing being illegal and JaGeX being a corporation makes it incredibly unlikely that it's them.

We haven't advertised on anyones forums either, anyone that has mentioned us (most of the time) is just people asking if we still work or mentioning that we do.

 

RiD is currently down, i will update this post as i see fit. Thanks for commenting Edward.

It is a bitch to have all you RiD people advertising everywhere, and even trolling on RSBuddy forums.


I respect that your bot is working, but you guys all of a sudden appeared after the nuke... Coincidence?

 

That's a small proportion and half the time it's not full members of RiD.

We don't endorse spamming at all and rather look down on it.
