Jagex Messages/E-mails

So, I decided to pop on here after being gone for ages, and I'm seeing a lot of these:



Well here, let me explain.

Do you guys remember the court cases Jagex was holding against iBot? I had a similar situation with a private server I used to own (LostPkz), and what I did to avoid it was off-shore hosting. After a while, Jagex stopped going after my hosts. Two months later, I received a couple letters from PayPal, notifying me I am in violation of their end user agreement.

To sum this up for you, the PayPal AUP(Acceptable Use Policy) doesn't allow for sale of virtual items, illegal substances, and copyright material. Well Mark Snellman or whatever his name is was violating the AUP in two different sections. What must've happened is Jagex threatened PayPal with court for allowing the sale of iBot auth codes for as long as they had allowed it, since it violated their AUP, and Jagex demanded the e-mails of purchasers of the auth codes. Basically, it's a big scare tactic by using a large amount of emails.

Seems like a long process to get emails from PayPal. But that message is probably only a scare tactic.

Jagex gathered the information illegally as was explained my nexus, they are actually counter-suing Jagex as we speak.

 

More of a scare tactic, nothing to be worried about

 

Precisely the reason 90% of the player body refers to the very creaators of the game as Fagex.
If they would just be straightup with people, (JAGEX IS A CORPORATION THAT NEEDS TO WATCH OUT FOR ITS POCKETBOOK), and not try to play this game of 'morale behavior' and whatever other assanine sh*t i just read.
Jagex has been and always will be like every other major corporation in my eyes.
Full of sh*t.
