How the hell..

Yesterday I hired someone to train dung for me. Thinking there's no way I'd lose my stuff if I don't give them my bank pin I gave them access to my account. Then I logged in today to find my bank had been cleaned without me giving them my bank pin. How does this work? Luckily I had been cleaned dueling beforehand and only had 160mil left. Still this makes wonder. If bank pins can't protect my items what can?

 

Was your bank pin similar to your password or your name on sythe?

 

That is fucked... either you had an extremely easy to guess bank PIN and the person just got lucky, OR you were somehow infected with screen capture software that records screenshots everytime you click your mouse. It allows people to steal your PIN by recording each time you click a number in your bank pin, the person simply figures out which number is not shown in each picture (because you are clicking it), and simply deducts that number from each screeny and has your bank PIN.

Or, depending on how long that person had your account for, they could have just cancelled the bank PIN and waited out the 3-7 days to rob your bank. This option, or number 1 are much more likely then number 2, but that sucks regardless. Definitely submit a scammer report and get this asshole banned..

 

Nope, this was a floor seller on RS I don't have him on msn or anything and my bank pin is just random numbers.

 

Honestly, I have no idea... maybe you had your numbers somehow releated to you.

There's no numbers in my name and it's just random numbers that came to my head.

 

If he only had your account for 1 day then there is no way he simply waited for the bank PIN to be bypassed after cancelling it. I honestly have no idea how it happened, maybe just a lucky guess?

 

No idea man.. Sucks if i was you i would run checks on my computer and make a better bank pin.

 

My bank pin is still the same. I logged in and was like LOL gfed, because he was doing dung and I was on top of the seer's bank.

 

How random were the numbers? (It varies, people think 1111 is random while others think 9456 is random..)

Well it sucks man but you can't change the fact that you got hacked now..

You should immediately run a virus scan + a Malwarebytes scan if you haven't already.. then AFTER you have run the scan and can be sure your computer is clean, make a new password, bank PIN, and set new recovery questions. Only then can you relax and be sure that your account is secure. I would not but anymore wealth on your account until you have done those things, in that order.

Could of pm'ed someone on your friends list.. Maybe someone there knows your pin?

 

Guess I'll do that then, I only go on 3 RS related sites and that's Sythe, RS and tip.it. Not dumb enough to be phished or anything and the guy was just a guy. Like a floor seller that I met.

 

There's a bank pin cracker, which takes some time but yeah.

So the best way is to just transfer your items.

 

Have you ever used Powerbot or Epicbot on this account? I am guessing you just used one of these unsafe botting clients and saved your password and bank pin on it. These clients might have just cleaned you. It was just a co-incidence that the dung service guy had access to your account at the same date/day. Cause I don't see it possible to be able to get your bank pin other then guessing it. And guessing your bank pin might be difficult for the dung service guy. It was most probably a botting client if you ever used one

 

There are pin crashers, it crashes ur pin and lets u in the bank, ive seen this before.

 

Messed up. Guy probably got lucky, or you had a virus.
